Just thought I would post these couple of pics from the recent "Nightstalker Rally" run by my car club (the Historic Rally Association). The really give the feeling of "historic competition", I think ....

Driver - Kim Harper
Navigator - Dave Gallacher (me ! :) )
Car - Ford Escort Twincam

We ended up 10th Outright, and 3rd pre-68 Historic

We were looking good for a top-3 outright place until I had a momentary case of "brain fade" & missed a passage control on a re-aligned piece of road & copped a 30 point penalty :banghead:

Actually - it would be really cool if one of the expert car-editors on the forum made a version of the Escort Mk 1 Twincam (the 1588cc Lotus version, not the BDA :D )

Well i know that i'm not an expert in car creating, more like an amateur, but i'm learning :)

The penalty you got in the race - well s**t happens(like it does happen to M.Märtin a lot) :P

... here is the entry list for the Historic Rally I am Clerk of Course for this coming Saturday night.

A few real RT-type cars in amongst this lot !

A couple of real-life "historic" drivers too .... Ken Harper drove one of the original factory Ford Falcons in the 1962 East African Safari for Ford Australia, and Bob Watson won a couple of Australian Rally Championships in the late '60s in a works R8 Gordini ! David & Kate Officer are also former 2-time Australian Rally Champions.

There are a few other former local "heroes" in the list too .... including several veterans of the famous Round Australia Trials & the Southern Cross Rallies

Great :trophy:
That car list looks very interesting. A good selection of real cars, now-a-days the current cars all seem to be all the same "ish". :OMG:

hey that's a good one. Very nice cars, would be even better with some more starters.

But it's nothing against that one:
And notice, there are more than 20 extra-cars, not listed. Even some group B :)
