View Full Version : KIMI the next champion?
Well MS just made his 7th world championship in F1 in Belgium Grand Prix! Ain't that amazing :trophy: Congratulations to MS you definetily deserved it. Your team mate is just a statistic in the red team :D
But what about KIMI? Wasn't that thrilling F1 race for the long time and thanks to KIMI for that  We now saw that long waited smile in his face :D Of course to me coming from Finland KIMI is really the next year 2005 champion but what do you think about it? Is he man for the job?
Is he good enough under tremendeus pressure what F1 circus lays on him?
I think term ICEMAN is not far from right so I believe he is a man for the job as long as McLaren doesn't screw it up :smash:
yep it was nice to see him finally wina race this year. its obvious he has the talent for it but has been let down by the car until now
A good race (I'm glad I missed Hungary after everything I have read about it  ).
Kimi - next Champ? Who's to say, it depends on so much. For sure I'm looking forward to seeing him & Montoya with a car good enough to give Ferrari a race. We'll find out if JPM or Kimi is quickest, but I reckon there's more fight in JPM - I love the way he overtakes in places where it really should not happen.
It always strikes me that the cars actually look like Grand Prix cars at Spa - not just big Karts; although Hockenheim gave us a good race, the cars don't look as majestic there - or at many other tracks.
Hm, well, he must have been the one this year... after such a strong perfomance last year, but it does not happen.
Next year it would (or could) be more difficult for Kimi `cos of his new partner. Are this boys ready to cooperate? And who will be the second one? None of them will accept this role.
But all this things will means nothing if the new McLaren will be as bad as it was at the beginning of this year.
About this race... it was nice to see Kimis melting =)
I told you he can smile =)
My opinion is that Kimi is better driver than Shcumacher, but that Mclaren, well if it don't blow up in every GP, we have hope.
 to Kimi
No, Kimi's not better than Schumacher - maybe faster, but probably nothing in it. I vividly remember watching Schuey from the trackside - he is special and doing stuff other drivers don't seem able to do.
Schumacher not only has the skills to get the team around him, but he (& Ross Brawn) seem to be able to read a race and make the right calls to finish in first place - they do this time after time (in the past in cars not worthy of winning).
Schuey is one of the all time greats, Kimi (so far) is merely very quick.
Mind you I rarely feel like giving Schuey a rousing cheer - so one statistic he will probably never get is "fans favourite".
How about Gilles Villeneuve for that one? His name still haunts F1 after more than 20years.
Well I meaned that he's faster.
He's certainly fast - the big shame is that for years we have not seen just how fast Schuey can be.
Anyway, I would probably agree Kimi MIGHT be faster, I prefer to think there is nothing in it. I'm interested to see what happens between Kimi & Montoya - right now I would not even want to speculate who might come out tops.

And did you know that an english commentator/journalist (i don't exactly remember) said at the beggining of the season, that if Mclaren will win a race this year,he will RUN NAKED in the Silverstone race track... :D :P
