Someone help this guy please.

I would, but you will have to post a link that doesn't take me to a page that I can't view.

BTW if it's AG Guarini he already sent a PM.
I'm gonna do the 126 after the 500, basically they are the same sort of car.
Once I get it working it will be easy. Just untill I do...

Cool... I made my first incident with the 126 (Peglica) at the age of 17
...I shortened it even more (-15 cm after the "mechanic" tried to straighten it LOL)
...I still remember the way to start the engine with the 2 small levers hahaha
...the engine was bouncing like crazy ...
A funny car must say :)
Looking forward to this one.

I also have a remember on this car; my first drift...
I had a Bis version, the waer cooled one, with the 2nd gear synchronized, and it was not so difficult doing III-II to block the rear and drift (on wet)
Nice!

I have a Fiat 500R, from 1976.
700cc with some Abarth and Stanguellini stuff.
Goes like stink, well, 150km/h is very fast in an egg.

Gaveve
21 February 10, 18:19
WOW!
it's fast!

Pizzaman
21 February 10, 18:32
If it had a five speed (like the real Abarths) I bet it would make 160.
Problem would be the brown stain in the drivers seat.

I have owned that car since I was 14, restored it from the ground up.
Not racing it, did that when I was ~20-25. Making sure it stayed in one piece though.
Now about 25 year after we restored it, it's still in good nick.

Gaveve

sounds good.
I'm happy you appreciate the 500 and the x1/9.
I remember what you wrote in other threads; you appreciate also Alfasud and 128.
insn't it?
yes, yes...
you love your Mini, but in the deep of your hart you love also (old) Italian cars...

what can I say, to be an Italian I can only thank you, and trying to push the management to build some new Italian cars that deserves to be desired and remembered...
ciao ciao! :-)

Spaghettini runs through my veins.
I like all kinds of cars. But I do like Italian cars.
Too bad they rusted like hell in Holland, else I'd have had more.

I also have a Range Rover and a Ford Capri (European musclecar).

Alex1911
21 February 10, 20:43
you should get a Delorean DMC 12 in Holland
they are somewhat crap but they never rust

Yes, trying to get a car-for-every occasion.

I drove the Alfasud (the Sprint is even better), but they are the same as a GTi/Scirocco.
Difference being that the VWs do not turn to rust so quickly here.
And since I have a Mini (even better in corners than the Sud/Golf) and a Capri (with more power)...
... then the Sud/Sprint Golf/Scirocco are just halfway stuff.

I owned a kermit-green GTi once though.

Well then, how about THESE... LOL.
Actually as a Fiat 124 they might even fit GTL.

I was thinking GSTARAZ might want them to race on his Eastern Europe tracks.
I also have some Trabbis, Wartburg, and some like that.

I would like a 124 sedan with 1600 DOHC and wide slicks. It would be great fun in GTC 76 with other (slower) cars - Bellett GTR, TC Escort, TA 22 Celica 1600 GT, BMW 2002 1600cc, etc

Reading your posts I fell in temptation! The idea of building a 126 for RT and/or GTL smiles at me so much! But before of this I want to finish the Fiat 850 coupè (RT)...

Last edit: Oops.. I read just now that AgGuarini is already working on the Fiat 126 model.

a vfts lada would be cool :D

Pizzaman
26 February 10, 20:47
What is a vfts lada?
Probably something like BTCC?

BTW I'm not that good, these are shared meshes from a 3D site (Google SketchUp).
The makers are quite friendly and usually give permission if you want to use them.
Sometimes they have GTL or GTR2 or Evo themsleves, and then they are VERY happy,
as most of them made their own car and would love to have it in the game.

AG Guarinis 126 is one of those meshes. It needs mapping and some work,
and then it can be put in the game. I'll try and help.

I have seen the rFactor 'Eastern stuff' mod.
It would be good to get that to GTL.
Bozont your Skoda would fit in, and I'd throw in some Ladas.

We could fix up the physics to the Skodda RS and Lada VFTS.
That would be fun.

I have seen the rFactor 'Eastern stuff' mod.

Eastern Cars 1.20. I just got around to trying the 126 with Abarth engine from this mod last night. Diesel power! It is hilarious!

I haven't liked the sounds they use for the Lada 2101, but the Fiat 126 sounds, even if they're not accurate (I don't know, I'm an American...LOL, they don't allow the 126 into our country), really worked for me.

Now the Trabant... that is a tank! Looks cool, but waaaay too heavy. Still need to try the Skoda.

Pizzaman
16 May 10, 20:44
The Fiat 126 is an air-cooled two cilinder.
I have a Fiat 500 which has the same engine & stuff.
Should sound like a stressed BMW boxer motorcycle. On XTC.
I don't have rFactor, so alas...

Here's what it sounds like. (http://www.youtube.com/watch#!v=SmZIWgzP61I)

Emery
16 May 10, 21:06
I did expect a motorcycle sound, but that's not what I hear... so sounds are not one of the strong points for that modding team. They're on the start of a learning curve for all of this, I think, and will get there in the end. I'm impressed that they've included so many models already with add-on parts.

meanwhile I have done quite a bit, and coming closer to the point where I can 'do it all'.

I can now UV-map cars, make template, do physics, and put them in game.
A few bits to learn still.
