Guys, I've asked the NoGrip honchos to do some cleanup on the list of tracks in the Hotlaps list. We've got a dozen or so tracks that nobody's going to ever want to run on that list.
And to date, our DOWNLOADS list of tracks is over 50. And some of them are popular tracks. So I've asked the honchos to swap in some off the DOWNLOADS tracks.
I won't list the removals. They're obvious.
But I've asked for:
Barcelona 2003
Cadwell Park
Donington 2004
Hockenheim 2004
Lime Rock Park
Monaco 2007
Spa 2004
Zolder
What'da'ya think?
If they add any, it'd be up to y'all to actually use them. OK?

No offense taken. They were chosen as what I'd like to ask for that are presently available.
That is certainly something for you to decide. If you can't run fast at certain tracks, it's not a surprise. Or if you don't like their layout, whatever suits you is kewl. Nobody notices times that are not there.
As for your three tracks, they have been in constant change since they became available. When tracks haven't stabilized, it's a real job to deal with changing versions.
As for Toban, it wasn't popular enough to even be included in the WTCC list or the GTR2 list, and only shows a couple of hotlaps for GTL. So I personally did not notice it. It is my understanding that the policy at NoGrip is to consider every track that is available in their download list for placement onto the Hotlaps list. For example, Nordschleife certainly has such popularity that it'll be needed for sure. But until a version sticks and shows some universal use, it'll be awhile that it's worth adding.

BTW, it's entertaining to know what people don't like about my list, but the idea isn't simply to criticize other's choices, it's to give some ideas for tracks YOU'D like to have and why.
Anybody got a track they'd like to post a hotlap on? Or see hotlap times for?

I was counting the number of download. Since Toban was downloaded more than 400 times before the unified version came out, I thought it was pretty popular. Believe me, if these tracks are there, they'll get hotlaps. :^)
Toban's layout should never change.
I hope Nords stabilized now but I'm not agaisnt progress - so, should it change more, I won't be unhappy :^).

I agree completely, but when a newly released track comes out and is going through changes, there is no way to tell what the changes are. Some of the changes affect the lap times. And there is nothing in the replay data that helps tell that. So you'd have times already posted that may or may not have been done against the same measure. Distance may have changed. Traction may have changed. Pavement sections may have been corrected for type.
Nordschleife really has a following. It really should be one made available soon.

I agree with what you're saying.
That's why, why I'm on the tourist Nordschleife 2.03b (GTR2), I just can't believe some time that are posted. Not how bumpy this track is.
Anyway, if you could also push for Toban, will be appreciated (I already have a couple of PB to be posted).

It looks like only Dijon Grand Prix is available for RACE'07 right now.

and right now, what we need is more tracks released for download. There are still a couple not available that were very popular in GTR2.
OH NUTS!! I forgot to ask for Toban. I keep forgetting about that track, because I can't ever remember hearing that name.

They've said that the plan was always to have the popular tracks on the NoGrip download list also wind up on the HotLaps.

The limerock track and Zolder are bugged in time attack mode, that's why i didn't post any time on this tracks.

Sorry guys, but you might as well stop asking.
The owners and operators of NoGrip aren't reading this stuff. And they don't seem to have read my requests for the tracks in the private moderator's forum.
I don't have the authorization to add tracks and such. Sorry. And the people who do don't seem to be keeping up with RACE07 at all.

So then, whats the harm in creating some threads to be used for competing laptimes, similar to that over at RSC. I think this would be a good idea, especially with the ability to run the new "vectra" and the "crowne plaza" track. I am not sure if we would be able to place the files on the threads or not, but we could always use some uploader (that we can agree upon) to place the files to be downloaded. Then we could just apply the same rules for hotlapping! Just a thought.
I have already created a thread for posting hotlap on Dijon Prenois Grand Prix, i can create others, it's not a problem!
PS: Why Dijon grand prix and Nurburgring have disappear from the download section?
