Until the STEAM online version matches the offline version please do not submit replays from STEAM, either online or offline.

There is no way everyone else can use your replay.

Since the online RACE07 patch in place right now causes pc freezes as well as an "incompatible version" rejection, the obvious choice is to continue to accept offline replays. They still work and don't cause massive delays to view.

Hotlaps run through a STEAM version of RACE07, either in offline or online mode, should NOT be submitted until Simbin issues the patch for offline installs.

It looks like SimBin released an offline patch v1.0.0.9 around Feb. 15th. If we are using the Steam version of RACE 07 only, are we free to submit hot laps again without version conflicts now?

The v1.0.0.9 patch that's available from the RACE07 website http://www.race-game.org/race07/community/forum.htm under the downloads button, is their first patch to the game back in.... hmmmm..... ?? November ?? October ??

I think the latest patch that was automatically plugged in (like on Feb 11th?) by STEAM is up to something like v1.0.2.1 and right now their official website doesn't show anything available other than the v1.0.0.9.

It has been pretty quiet online since the patch to the patch was loaded. Seems we ought to be seeing it made available to the majority of users pretty soon.

Until then, it'd be better to stick with just submitting offline replays. Sorry

OK guys, waiting on Simbin/Steam seems to have no predictable end.

So submit laps from Steam if you want to.

It'll be a bit more work for me, but the submissions aren't knocking down our door, are they. And some of the people who paid for the game won't be able to view some of the replays, but that's not our fault is it.

And it does seem that there wouldn't be many more days to wait.

Since it does take me a bit more time to review Steam hotlaps, I'm not going to be reviewing as soon as I see a new one posted. I'm going to save up and do them once a day instead of immediately upon seeing a new one.

So if you are looking at a Steam made review file, and see what looks to you like a rule violation, would you be so kind as to post a report in the:

Bad laps in hotlaps..... reported here thread http://www.nogripracing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16914

This isn't anything new or different, just like before. It's just of a little more useful right now.

Well, we appreciate your efforts to help us hot lappers show off our stuff. I've had four record laps burning a hole in my hard drive for quite some time now, so I'll post them. By now they probably aren't records anymore...lol. Anyway, I was trying to find out a way to install an offline version since I purchased my copy from Steam but now I don't need to, so thanks. I was ready to throw up my hands and switch to another sim too. :D
