ive gotta say it again, wnr races are the best. 20 odd good drivers  u never have a dull race. race 1 and 2 were totally different for me, even though it was the same track and i chose the same car.

race 1 . started bad. my steering wheel was turned 360 degrees to the right on the start line and i didnt notice. i thought i was pointing straight. dropped the clutch and went ploughing in to the wall  so lost alot of places there. then it was a bit tight gettin through the twisty bits and i ran in to the back of lade. sooo sorry. we both ended up right at the back. so after that it was just a battle through the guys at the rear. gotta say i had fun trying to get past longbeard in his gt40. i think he was driving miss daisy round the tight bits :D and leaving me on the straights. got passed eventually. i thought he drove well for his first wnr. oh and sorry to zieman who ran wide on the last lap and i squeezed past u, maybe bumpin u a bit.

race 2 . still too many gt40s to cope with. i was in 4th and witnessed roger and another gt40 taking each other out. so that was fine for me to steal 2nd :roflmao:

am i allowed to put ngr in front of my name yet? i dont just want to go ahead and do it. i am a regular racer at wnr. :blah:

Yep, some good racing again. Just sorry i had to leave the first race early, (and miss the second) bcos the Elan felt great, and was heaps of fun trying to mix it with the big V8s!

Apologies though to Si99 (at T2) and Michael (at last corner) on the first lap - in both cases you sort of appeared from nowhere whilst i was focussed on trying to not run into the back of the cars ahead - before i knew what had happened i had tapped you both into spins.. Sorry.

First race, in the GT40, was a lonely drive in 2nd place. Jammyozzy was too fast & I was comfortably ahead of 3rd. Only excitement was trying to hold Psy off until he went agricultural on lap 2.

Second race, in the Elan, was more eventful. Had some good battles with the V8s, notably Fillneuve, but was trying too hard in the twisty bits & spun 3 times. Eventually came in 7th.

All good fun.
Cya all next week

Yeah, a pity about that Geoffers. I out-qualified you by a comfortable amount so my usual abysmal start got you in front and I was thinking "This is going to be an epic struggle!"

Then... just complete brain-fade on the infield and came in way too hot for that corner and, to quote Reppu from Sunday who did exactly the same thing, at the same corner, on the same lap... "done" Bugger.

Good racing by lots of people and great to see a nice big 24 entry grid. :)

no worries frex, had a terrific time charging around through the back of the field, 2nd race did a PB qualifying, made a right a*se of the start and then stacked at the little bus stop chicane bit while trying to outbreak a 275. All in all a bloody good few hours:up::roflmao:

Good races with many drivers in different cars, especially in the second race.:)
But it seems my PC has enough power (AMD Athlon XP2000+, 512MB RAM, ATI Radeon 9600).
During the start-finish line, if other car directly behind me were, and the corners before the steep turn, my screen always got frozen for short times.
So it was very difficult to drive.:(
Also, I was shot down in both races.
But at the end of the field, it was exciting to drive because some drivers probably also had bad luck because I often saw them again.:D
For me the ‘hero of the race’ was the brave driver in his under-powered Healey.
Cheers!

Thanks for making me a 'hero' Michael :D I guess I'm just a little difference from most and could care less where I finish. My main goals are to drive a clean race and to have fun within my abilities. I had practiced with and was quicker in some other cars but was more comfortable in the Healy and figured I could at least keep it on the track and be the most consistant with it. I had fun and that's what it's all about for me:up:
