Best looking Dell product I ever saw.

So what new video card will you get ? ;)

I have been reading 1-2 hours on Rage3D about X800 Pros and Xts. Getting a little worried. Seems to be many who have problems, RMAs and stuff. Not all the usual weak power supply or crazy oc, a little strange. I would take a long look their before ordering - wont be long I think

Pretty sure my next card will be Nvidia. Not cause of hardware, couldnt care less , but to get best of new beats AND new ATI control panel it will take min. 1 Microsoft update to 2.0 .net and may be 4-5 ATI updates. Ive yet to see a .net program I would say run smoothly - good for programmers, from what Ive read, bad for users. Nvidia drivers are more useful to mankind - also I want Rivatuner back!

umm.. well I'm waiting ATM for NF4 mobo's to come out, then I might make the jump to PCIe .. probably radeon x800xt because I want VIVO and they don't seem to be makign 6800's with that ;)

You mean AIW cause even here it is possible to get hands on VIVO 6800s, not many though. Point of View is avail http://www.pointofview-online.com/products/6800ultra.php Good price too - if cooler can hold out for some time. Asus and MSI usually have all the gadgets, may be too soon. May be they are afraid to annouce too many models it it turns out hardly anyone wants agp card.

Good thing to wait a bit, hardly anything is available here - just may be they push production a bit too much.

well.. I dont see the point in buying a new monster AGP card now, in 6 - 12 months if I wanted to upgrade then
1 - it would be totally worthless for resale value
2 - more and more motherboards will be pcie, and being stuck with agp card will become a pita quickly when wanting to upgrade other components

thanks for the link on that 6800.. most I see here are only video out, but I really need the video in and dont want to use a seperate card for that..
I guess now I need to find out what the quality of the video in on those nvidia cards is like, as I knwo with ATI I can make high quality captures ;)

Actually that was a POV AGP card but in few months time there will be PCI-E versions with all included.

I see the problem with AGP but have the feeling they will put out NF4 with AGP. Not seen it anywere but I think they will. Must be technically possible and market should be big enough. All Amd users are buying AGP cards today and the next few months. And how many dont have 9800, 59xx or slower for that matter. It will come or may be more likely they continue to promote NF3/VIA KT880 ;)

AGP-monster ok for those who know they wont make moves the coming 1-2 years. I dont think NF3 or even NF2, or VIA stuff in same class, will die out so soon. Many must make doubleupgrade to get both NF4 and some pixels to look at, for some too big a mouthful.
