WRC2010.... what a disappointment

I just uninstalled it. This was the only game of '10 I was looking forward to (I assume rFactor 2 will be in 2011) and what a disappointing waste of the WRC license. I didn't expect a sim like RBR, but good controls and a good feel for the car- like Dirt 1 was and with decent graphics and sound.

Man, this sucks. :-(

Well, after driving some time, strangly I begin to like this game. It has its own atmosfere, like the graphics! OK the sound is ugly, the driving also! But now I am driving with a very stupid non realistic setup, the cars are much more hard to handle and ha'v some fun with this game. Could have been better, but it is'nt crap! Hez.

My opinion. It could be better, but for me its enough fun like it is.

I think its a diffrent game and not to compare witch Dirt 2 oder RBR...Its something between. Not to easy, and not to difficult. Thats why I need and like this game.

I wonder how Seb Loeb would react if Daniel Elena would say things at the start of a stage like:
- Are you ready, let's get this done, or
- Out of the way, champion coming through or
any of the other rubbish the co-driver in this game is shouting.
If I was Loeb I would stop the car, drag that co-driver out of his seat and
chop his looney head off.

Sorry, but how can anybody like these poor graphics? Have you ever taken a look at the textures? They're horrible! It reminds me of Rallysport Challenge. It was a pretty good game in those times, but now it's the end of 2010! The sounds are like a joke. No dynamic weather (in a rally game in 2010!). The stages aren't bad but they are very genric. They remind me of CMR stages. They have no relations with the real locations. The gameplay isn't bad, but very straightforward. I agree with the original poster, it is an arrogant waste of the WRC license! Shame on Milestones!

Here is a review from IGN (http://au.pc.ign.com/articles/112/1127694p1.html), giving it a 7 out of 10, praising the driving model, but bagging the presentation.

I might wait for a patch or two, plus some other reviews before buying it. In the interim, I'm happy with Richard Burns Rally.

rally trophy beats this title so easy,, lol, a shame,, but the new generation must like it... ah well ,, more time for other unimportant stuff then ;-)

I have to say I largely agree with what IGN have to say. I do actually think the handling model is pretty damn good. It took me a while to realise and understand this. It's not a world beater but I think I'm going to have a lot of fun mastering this handling model and game.
