Hi guys, some days late, but still, here we go with race 2:
This season is a big endurance race where overall time after all rallies this season will count.
The usual rules (http://www.nogripracing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=45086) are still the ones to follow.
Now what you need to download in order to take part this season/event:
1) You need RT2, get it here (http://www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=22540)
2) You need to choose 2 RT2 cars before the season. You will drive those 2 cars during all the season, so be careful with your choice! Which of the 2 cars you drive is up for you to decide.
4) To drive through an event, you need to start a single rally, save all replays of the stages and make a screenshot of rally results after the rally. This is just in case someone is suspiciously fast
5) That's it, now all you need is good luck!
Rally Russia (original by BugBear) is opened during these times:
Start: Thursday, 28.10.2010 at 00.00 GMT
End: Thursday, 11.11.2010 at 00.00 GMT
EDIT nr2: And again, please make this topic sticky, i still have no powers.

And please, invite your friends to join this season as well, by PM, e-mail, or even give your friends a call or something!
More participants = more fun + maybe we will see RT3 one day by modders. ;)
And i don't want to be last this season as well. :P

Ok, Fiat for me this time.
BTW - is it ok to start Championship and save after 4 stages (and/or 2 & 6 stages too)?

I see no problems with that.
Not so easy to get to the Switzerland stages while driving championship mode though. :P

Really easy with some stagetimesX.ini -tampering... ;)
But I did not do it for Race 1 (otherwise I wouldn't have left the tunnel & rail incidents in).
Probably I will drive stages 1-4 one day, save and drive stages 5-8 later.

Hi guys, just curious - any need for additional time?
Race ends tomorrow, in case everyone will make it in time.

Not my best run but that's the way it goes. Polski Fiat 125P for this stage,(animals on).

Oo-kay.
I drove this event almost in one go: restarted the rally a few times because of crashing on stage 1 or 2, and took stage 7 twice because I was interrupted first time. I did save after stages 2, 4 & 6, but needed only one of those (after stage 6), and that only once.
This is how it went:
SS 1 - Went pretty well, if you count out the 1st real jump where I almost lost it.
SS 2 - Made many small mistakes, some parts were quite smooth though. Really hairy moments at the end of the 2nd flat-out section, somehow managed to regain control without crashing :D.
SS 3 - Took rain tyres here for stage 4. Nothing major happened here, I made my usual Rus 3 mistakes, most difficult part being that bumpy downhill section.
SS 4 - I've never been good on this stage, this time wasn't an exception. Anyway, I somehow managed to get through the stage without crashing, even that left 3 that always gets me wasn't total disaster this time.
SS 5 - This one went mostly pretty well. One hair-raising moment happened at 1st logging camp where I missed the log pile by mere millimeters...
SS 6 - Started bad, got slightly better towards the end. Restless driving resulting in too many too big slides at wrong places. Didn't really feel being in control on any part of this stage.
SS 7 - Not really happy with this one either, but it coud have been a lot worse. Had to reload save here once, because I was distracted by a phone call (yeah, I have to answer work calls even on Sundays) and continuing after the pause only resulted in swift crash in a place where I "never" crash.
SS 8 - Somewhat nervous driving, luckily nothing more than one traffic sign flying off to the woods resulted from that.
Car: Fiat 124 Abarth
EDIT: Cows ON
Total time: 23:20:76
Notes: replay1 is incorrectly named Z-124-R4... - it is replay of stage 2

I already went to sleep before Zieman submitted his run, but anyway: race closed!
One thing only - Stage 7! An absolute blast, reminded me why i still play this sim, wonderful feeling there.
As for the rest of the stages, well nothing great, but no crashes either. Suspension needed some fixing after some stages, but thats a part of rallying
Time is c*ap again, but as said, after Stage 7 it didn't matter any more, to me atleast

A longer review of the race later.

I seemed to spend a lot of time getting to know trees in this rally.
It took several goes at Stage 1 before I managed to get a clear run.
Stage 2. was marred by a spin.
Stage 3.Like Zieman, I opted for rain tires which resulted in an minor off.
Stage 4 has never been a favourite of mine and all was going OK until I had an incident with a tree.
Stage 5 . The practice runs went really well but on the day I overdid it and hit...err another tree! Clipped the barrier right at the end of the stage.
Stage 6, you've guessed it, another off into a tree.
Stage 7, was a blast and I managed to have a clean run.
Stage 8, I knew it wouldn't last and I had my final meeting with a tree.
Needless to say my Polski Fiat 125P was very badly dented and most of the other parts need fixing along the way!
My stage time was 26.12.26, very close Rallyfan. Looks as though Zieman has opened up nice lead, so congrats to him on a fine win.

Hello,
here is my run from Russia.
Was a bit harder than expected for me to make 8 stages in row without too many crashes.
SS4: First crash - a tree was jumping in front of my car
SS7: Second one - same as in SS4
SS8: Another tree in my driving line and a little rail raiding short before the finish line
Result: 23:44:13 + 1:30:00 penalty = 25:14:13
The Monte result will follow tomorrow - so far only one Monte run because Russia needs so much time to do it...
