View Full Version : Capcom secure rights to MotoGP on all formats
According to Playtm (http://play.tm/story/17089) Capcom have secured the right to publish games based on the MotoGP series on all formats. Previously Capcom only held the right to use the name on the Playstation format. Apparently a game based on the 2008 season has already been revealed for the PS3, 360, Wii, PS2 and PC. I was interested to see the article also mentioned the right for Capcom to "create peripherals based on the World’s premier motorcycling championship, MotoGP across all hardware platforms" I wonder if we'll see a handlebar style controller developed.
So this is the end for those "better" MotoGP-games from THQ...
I suppose it could have been worse, maybe EA could have got it :p
Well, EA did publish the superbike games from milestone years back. sbk2000 & 2001=best bike sims so far. (New sbk game comig out soon for ps3, 360 & pc from milestone)
The thq games looked pretty and were fun but even in sim mode they were not near as good as gp500 or sbk series.
I hope capcom does better than their first release of '07 for ps2, that was poop.
