What's up with this? I tried to sign up and it's telling me that satellite connections are not supported...I don't use a satellite. I have a direct connection to Road Runner. GRR!

If anyone has any help, I'd appreciate it...I tried four times to do it.

Are you using wifi to connect to your modem?

Perhaps you need a direct connect.

(I'm just guessing here)

Hiya sunalp - thanks for the suggestion, but my game rig is connected to my switch/router with an ethernet cable to keep the speed up. I wish it was that easy :)

And now my girlfriend's brand new 1000 dollar laptop crashed to make this evening worse :blink:

It's a good thing I have been exercising PC demons for more than 20 years! It's a month old and went t1ts up - system wipe fixed it...GRR^2

I have a ticket into iRacing and maybe tomorrow - I just don't want to loose my deal for three months. Whah!

Yep, the connection speed is good. I'm not sure why it thinks you have a satellite connection. Do you maybe have some weird Mozilla plug-in?

Click on the down arrow where it says connection type.

After I get the error, it has nothing in the drop down for options. I tried to select nothing and proceed, but I go a lot of nothing. I'm certain it's on their end. I'm not running anything odd. Dunno :?:

Well, after 30 + attempts to sign up, it finally let me. I should have done it last night, but I noticed that the credit card site was not encrypted. Anyhow, I'm in.
