I'm modding the default GTL GT40. It's in game, sitting lower,
and raked further forward.
This has changed the locations of the headlights and tail lights,
as well as virtually every external .gmt.
If I use the default light glow .gmts they're in the wrong spot,
but if I move them, just XYZ movements and include them with
all the other .gmts I get a CTD after loading a circuit. The trace
file showes this...

vehgfx.cpp 2520: Entered VehGraphics::Init(GAMEDATA\TEAMS\GTC-65\FORD GT40\083\..\FORD_GT40.CAS)
vehgfx.cpp 2552: Unable to read USERDATA\LOG\vehgen.scn: Error loading global material HEADLIGHT_FORD_GT40
vehgfx.cpp 2607: Could not find instance "SLOT000"

Anyone got any ideas of what I might need to do?

Cheers,
Cam.

Just a follow up, I was changing headlight and tail light glow .gmts
at the same time. I thought to try it one at a time; the tail lights
are working fine.
The problem is just in moving the headlight glow to the new location
of the headlights. With the mods to the car the headlights are now
lower and slightly more forward.

one thing you have to do : extract headlights**.bmp (from **_TEX.GTR) to your car folder and rename extensions to tga

Yes, it will be ok, if it renames to "FORD_GT40_LIGHTS00.tga" as papag21 says.

Good luck!

I forgot.
"FORD_GT40_LIGHTS01.tga" is also the same. :)

Thanks guys, problem solved! I appreciate the quick response.
Now the headlight glow is working as it should be, in the correct
location.

Cheers.
