A little challenge I set myself last night. I bought the little 360 because it had over 300k to get the trophy, I then proceeded to spend all but 2,500 credits on other cars.

So...I then thought I'd try and make it into a winner in the K car races.....oh dear, starts with 13 bhp and 2500 didn't go far, but I persevered at Autumn Ring mini, never touching the brakes and only lifting slightly for some corners, dead last by over 10 seconds, I had my doubts...but even last gave me a hefty sum over 3k...so I added more power.....dead last again, but only by 4.7 seconds. Added more power.....came 7th!! This process continued and I got up to 6th. Sadly the next upgrade i did also triggered an upgrade of opponents...so I struggled to come 7th, but with more racing I managed to get a 5th last night. problem is I'm hitting the rev limiter at a measly 53 mph and need more grip as even comfort softs are breaking away at the corner speeds I'm asking of them!

Never thought I'd spend so much time with such a slow car and a standard to boot! Not sure if I can keep up with only using the 360 and it's winnings tho...need 20k for the race tranny!

thought I'd update for the benefit of the tumbleweed ;)

Didn't go for the race tranny, just used the first tranny upgrade and another 6 HP and managed that win!!

I believe it's the magic of GT5. You don't know why, but someday a thought jumps on your head, and as soon as you have some free time, you begin to focus on that specific car, step by step discovering you really find yourself desiring to see where the knife's edge may take your efforts in upgrading & racing... Usually happens with strange cars.
:P

For example, I can't wait to have all the systems connected (ergo: having a PS3+all the required gears of driving) to focus on an old Fiat 500 to make it a little more competitive. ;)

It's not about wanting to give it FiA GT2 spec, it's just to see where PD may bring a little piece of rubbered engine covered in metal. ...Though we're still loving them! :)

p.s.: another good thing of GT5 is that you can drive granny's cars without feeling utterly ridiculous. Didn't anybody notice that? It's simply funny.
