No doubt - I have done a direct comparison and the two look identical, except there s more AA used on Shift 1 on the 360 than I can get on the PC in Shift 2.

Crikey, I never thought I'd see the day when the 360 version looks better than a PC verison.

Just wondering if they have reduced the AA in Shift 2 for the 360 ?

If they have, then the console version and the PC verisons will look identical this year.

At the moment, Shift 1 for th 360 definitely looks better than the PC verison of Shift 2.

Everything is more shakey on the (Shift 1) 360 as well. Don't know if that's deliberate ?

The PC version of a game will almost always look better, and Shift is no exception.

Besides this, its just another point which shows how bad Shift 2 is.

Wait a little bit for optimized drivers from AMD / nvidia or the first graphic-mods... than the PC-version will be quite superior.

Hmmm... "Almost" being the operative word !

I've just run Shift 1 London Circuit, on the 360, and Shift 2 on the PC, side by side, and no-one can tell the difference, except that the 360 has fewer jaggies and runs at a aster framerate.

Given that the 360 only has 2x MSAA this year, I reckon it's gonna be the same with the 360 version - not tried it yet, and probably won't.

You will need to somehow enable higher levels of AA to improve it to an acceptable level.

The FPS is so poor, that simply creating HD textures, won't cut it.

I then played Codemasters F! 2010 on the same PC, and OMG, what a difference. Looked better, played better, and all at 60 FPS.

Unbelievable for a sequel - probably go down as the worst sequel ever.

You probably have an ATI graphics card.

Are you suggesting that this game is not intended for those with ATI graphics cards?

No it runs very fine on ATI cards.

Well I call BS  else maybe bad eyesight ?

I have Shift 1 & 2 on both xbox360 & PC and my pc version of Shift2u looks absolutely amazing ( gtx560ocTi ) and runs at silky smooth constant 60fps with vsync enabled.

Shift2 on xbox however is very jaggy and uses a different graphical style to Shift 1 but it also has more calcs going on in the background so lower aa was maybe a tradeoff.

according to the people at beyond3d (and there are usually peopel around who are right with this stuff :-) ) both utilize 4xMSAA on xbox 360.

with my pc version i notice less shader aliasing (sun, fresnel and so on) with AA at high. then again i'm running medium resolution/s on tv and pc display so that might change things (like shader a in S1much more noticable then in 1080p or even higher)
