Can you get rid of that stupid helmet view?

Hi,

I hate it - I ride a motorcycle and have a full face Arai - you can't see the inside of it when you wear it. Is there a way to get rid of the helmet view in Shift2, or is this a thing you can't change?

YOU DON'T HAVE TO USE THE NEW HELMET CAM ! THE SHIFT1 COCKPIT CAM IS STILL THERE! (ok, i'm done shouting. Time to be civil.)

I just assigned the "Change View" (or whatever they labeled it) button to one of the buttons on my G27 wheel and then I could cycle through all of them while driving. Keep hitting it until you get to your trusty old Shift1 cockpit view. That one is still in the game.

can you not just use the normal interior view? or are you wanting the look to apex etc

Yes! I just want the old view :) That helmet view is some poop. Thanks edubz123, I will try it and hope :)

yeah, I was at first unhappy with the new helmet view (i've come to like it more recently).

You can definitely switch away from it. Just remap the "Change View" button to something convenient on your wheel and cycle through until you get to the cockpit view. Thank god they didn't screw that one up!

Why waste it on a wheel I dont have enough to map important things, unless you got buttons coming out your....... ummmm. :)

My one drift from realism is "look back" , always top right button on Momo any sim / arcade I drive.

Pity some people dont try it ........certainly dont use their mirrors, hehehe and no less realistic then changing views. ;)

btw I like the dimming effect with the look back too.
