I did not install it because I didn't see the use for it when playing the game either offline or online. Does anyone know for what it is used?

I would expect that if the PC version ever gets DLC it will be purchasable through the EADM.

You downloading games what u bought on EAStore or you can activate box versions of games by writing a cdkey on EAStore, so if u lost a DVD with game, you could download your copy through EADM :)

PS. Sorry for my bad english :)

The replies above are surely correct, but i automatically assumed it's just a pointless piece of junk installed for no reason, and it probably runs on windows start-up until you tell it not to (don't they all?).

Feels like every company has to install something on our computers these days, besides the actual game we bought. Only good thing about EA's software is you don't actually need it installed to run the game.

Hip, hip, hooray!

In some other EA games, I believe the download manager is also used for automatically patching the game.

Personally, I prefer managing that sort of thing manually myself, so I avoid the EADM if possible.
