Hey guys, been checking this forum out recently and I grabbed myself a copy of shift 2.

I have the 360 version but didn't see a Shift 2 specific section in Console games.

Heres the vid, all drifting was done in race mode, drift mode sucks and drifts for you :thumbdown:

Nice Vid! I'm waiting to see a person drift like that with a wheel in this game. I managed to get second place on a few maps but its such a chore with all the spinning and whatnot. I plugged in my 360 controller and was acing them easily as it countersteers automatically.

Note: I'm referring to the "drift" mode and not regular races as that's easy and fun!

Edit: A tip for aspiring drifters, use the first tire upgrade for more control, but just until you get better.

I was going to include sound, but at parts it was out of sync. I'll sync it up for my next video though.

As for a tutorial on wheel, I'm on 360 and use the Microsoft wheel, I'll help you out if you use the same, but I don't know if my advice would be relevant for the better wheels available for pc.

Are you talking about in "drift" mode? Something is seriously wrong with that mode and seems to be designed with a controller in mind.

If in a race you are having problems setting up a drift, then you should practice on one of the small ovals until you get the hang of throttle control. Once you have it down its pretty sick. Little more throttle to turn more and let off a little to straighten out.

I was talking about the "race mode" and trying to drift, in drift mode I can barely drift while in race mode I cant drift(yep on that oval and 8 track) at all, I'm using an xbox360 controller on pc, might be that I need to change my controller settings(sensitivity ect..) or I'm just no good at it lolx or need more practice :laugh:, but Im not really into the drifting in shift2 so its alright for me it I dont get the hang of it :D
