I don't understand what he's saying?
AFAICT, it's the opposite, the front brakes (top 2?) are cool and blue and the rear (bottom 2?) are red and hot in both pictures? What am I missing?
Does he think the telemetry reflects the way the car is facing or something, that's the only difference I see.
The heating looks very async? Is that it? What's the brake balance on the car?
I noted the TeamNFS RX8 you get for winning one of the events, heats its front brakes after a few laps on Monza Junior, and they fade as a result too afaict (unless I was just braking too late) It didn't feel like a bug though, just like I was doing lots of very heavy braking and then flying down a straight and stomping again without them having any chance to cool off.
They did cool off if you slowed down for a few laps and they didn't get so OTT heat wise on the bigger tracks.

Moving brake bias forwards does not solve it? It's almost mandatory for every default setup... Much like stiffening dampers, ARBs and adding steering lock.

Ha, perhaps I misunderstood him. But after reading his post and looking at his pics I got the impression he was saying that the right side rotors were red hot while the left side were not. Which shouldn't be but again perhaps he needs to further explain.

Yeah see my edit, he thinks the telemetry is the car facing left and then right?
Surely the top is the front tyres and the bottom the rear? In FWD cars the top 2 get tyres are the ones that get warm, which fits.

He's saying (big guess here) that the breaks are not 'glowing' where they should be.
The break temps in both pics does show that the back breaks to be hot enough to 'glow'.
pic 1.. temps are very high on the back and should be 'glowing' while they're not.
pic 2.. temps are yet again very high on the back and as seen one at the back is 'glowing' as well as the front which shouldnt be.
Could be a one off thing, who knows.
The OP isnt on about why the temps are so high nor asking how to deal with it lol.

sorry for my picture .
d/w man, it's not just you. But the rules here aren't complex, take a look next time :)

Thank god, that thing has ceramic brakes...otherwise they would surely melt :D

How do you get so much information from the telemetry HUD? Mine only has tyres with funny circles around them (I think to indicate load). No temps or ride height info etc. :?:

There are three separate tabs, check your control assignments to cycle through them.

Thank you very much - i noticed it was supposed to be assigned to my POV d-pad thing on the G25 shifter... the problem is i don't even have the shifter connected up and (as you say) there seems no way to change the binding.
Hopefully pressing x will work.

Pressing x didn't work for me. :(
I can only assume that the game is expecting me to use the POV thing on the shifter since i have a G25 wheel plugged in. Guess i'll have to dig my shifter out if i want to change the telemetry page, but i don't even have room for the thing on the table. lol

that you have glowing brakes on the left and dont have that on the right can be explained pretty easily;
You are braking while a bit turning in, the right tires then make less contact and thus need less power to brake. I dont think it is a bug at all, it just has to do with pressure.

How do you get all that extra info on the telemetry HUD display using a wheel such as the DFGT?
You get it using anything. I'm temporarily using shift with a keyboard(not reallyracing, more benchmarking atm), and I still get input sliders etc.

@BlueBlueBlue - When in telemetry HUD mode, press right arrow on the cross-button to cycle through those telemetry modes...(only works if you haven't mapped it to something else, in that case you would need to reset the controls). Reassigning something else for that function in .xml doesn't work for me, if someone managed to do that, please share...
maybe the brake disc / glow isn't placed/assigned correctly on that car...
There is something strange for some cars. I wrote once about it but nobody noticed.
Take the Megane, and lock several times the rear wheels using the handbrake.
On telemetry screen, tyres on top of telemetry screen will become red. But it does not happen with RWD cars. Probably only the telemetry display is switched because the car behaves very good.

- i didn't read that anywhere :?:
- i never tried any of the FWD cars yet but some other cars ebrake could be improved in my opinion. guess since most people map it onto a (digital) button it's not that important.
- so yeah, question is where does it take braking forces from. front brakes, rear brakes, combined front and rear brake, brakes from powered wheels...
