Hi,
I'm about to write my own track creater. One of my last problems in
understanding the whole track file format(s) is: Where is the pace car
position and direction (on the track) defined? I guess it's somewhere
in the AIW file, asume it's some kind of implicit definition. If anybody
can help..
thanks
I have tried every available AIW Editing tool in the hope of finding the solution to a BIG problem in encountered when I converted my scratch-built track from rFactor to GTR2; the game places a Safety Car across the track just past the Start/Finish line. The AI cars do not detect it and therefore slam into it. destroying themselves in the process because it is like they drove into a large, immovable rock! My AIW works perfectly in rFactor (the AUX positions function as they should), but I cannot finish the conversion to GTR2 with this thing in the way...
I could fix this if I knew which Waypoint(s) is causing the problem. I have searched here and at RSC but there does not seem to be a precedent.
Anyone???

Thanks sunalp2! I can't believe I missed that post (must be senility setting in).;-)
Thanks again.

Takes a bit of looking for, I knew it was there because I needed it too a while back. :-)
tried to encrypt all informations with a simple self written 3D-rendering
tool and playing the (modified) track with GTR2. But discovering missing
informations (like TeamIndex=51 ...) with this approach is almost impossible,
so thanks for your help.
I'm so free to copy all necessary informations (with some extensions) from

Rem.: I just tried to find tracks without "GridIndex=103", but found only
several tracks without "TeamIndex=51"-entry, like NorisRing. In such a case
you have the pace car perpendicular to the driving direction. Driving this
tracks offline causes the AI cars crashing into it, except for few ones (hm,
there are some clever AI-cars).
