View Full Version : Doubt about the Fanatec Clubsport pedals

Hi to all,
in the next days I'll buy a GT2 wheel and the Clubsport pedals but I have a doubt.
Since the release are the pedals changed?
I mean: if I buy a 2009/2010 set, are they the same of the 2011 version or are there any major changes?
I ask you this because in Italy Fanatec products are sold by GameStop, but the pedals sets are from old stocks.
At the moment the only difference that I know is that the 2011 sets have brass brushings instead of the plastic ones, but that's not a big problem since I'll buy also the Tuning Kit.
Are there any other differences?
Thanks in advance!

I think, as you mention, they changed a few bearings from plastic to brass. Not sure about anything else though, sorry.

Hi Altrezia and thanks for your reply.
This other question could sound stupid but...
Is the load cell included since the first release in 2009?
P.S.: I love your avatar, is it actually your Mini?

I can take a pic of my load cell later if that'll help? I have no idea if it's the same part.
And yep, it's my car :)

The pedals have been changed a bit since first release, but that involved the brass bearings as stated above, and covers for the electronics boards on the pedals. No major changes, and the load cell has always been part of the design :)

Thanks redi, you solved all my doubts, so I can buy them without any worries, also if they are 2009 or 2010 models, that's a really good news for me!
@Altrezia
I don't need the pic, but thanks anyway!
About you car, wow, it's really a beauty!
I had got 2 Minis, a 1986 998cc Mayfair (crashed... :crying:) and a 1997 Cooper Sportspack (unlucky, it had so many mechanical problems that I sold it :-(), the funniest cars that I ever drove!
Your lap times will thank you

You doubled the horse power! :scared:
Finally yesterday the pedals arrived to my local GameStop and I bought them with the GT2 wheel.
The pedals are a late 2010 model, with the brass bearings but without the covers for the electronics boards.
Now I have to find the time to test them, I'm very busy in this period... :|
