The Recommended are not that bad. Everyone seems to see "Core i7" and they freak out. Don't forget to read whats before that and its a Phenom II and you can snag most of those for under $150. The minimum specs are definitely ancient. It should be playable on old systems when the graphic settings are properly configured.

Side note... People need to stop expecting new games to run on their 5-10 year old systems. Its like complaining you can't play Xbox 360 games on an original Xbox.

Yeah, dont get scared by i7 because you dont need one.

2500K i5 is all you need better bang for buck then Phenom now imho.

Cant see any other i7 keeps up to them for the same money. ?

2600K i7 is nice but how will hyperthreading help Dirt3 ? , thats the main appeal of buying one imo.

Plus it has 2mb extra cache and that dont add much either to 3D performance
certainly not worth the extra $80AUD

Those specs don't seem steep at all.
