Hiya. Cant someone please tell me if dirt3 runs at 720 or 1080 on the ps3...I got it on the PC but a friend wants it for his ps3?

I believe there are only a few true 1080p games on the consoles(more so PS3 than xbox) and they are not graphic intensive. Most that say 1080p are actually 720p(or less) upscaled. It takes a considerable amount more horsepower to run 1920x1080 than 1280x720 and horsepower is something the aging consoles are lacking against today's PC gaming beasts.

Motorstorm 3, GT5 both run / render at 1280x1080 resolution, Wipeout HD & Fury even at 1920-1280x1080.

it seems easier to optimize in PS3 exclusives...

I believe Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare also runs at 1080p.
