69 Extra mod install - big problems!!!

I installed the 69 Extra mod to C: Sierra/GPL and re started my computer as instructed. I have a Dell with XP operating system.
When the reboot was done I got this message:
"ERROR LOADING"
NYCPL.DLL
"The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process".

ALSO
When I tried to click on the GEM+ icon I got this message:

"FATAL ERROR"

I removed the 69 extra mod from my computer and did a re-boot and now GEM+ works fine.
I want to try to install the Extra mod again but I want to see if anyone can help as to what this install problem was. Did I do something wrong? I followed all the install instructions very carefully and made all the adjustments in GEM+ but something want very wrong.

Thanks, I'll go there. An added weird problem was that until I did an un-install and reboot GTR 2 and Race 07 also didn't work. All was fine after that.

When I tried to click on the GEM+ icon I got this message:

This sometimes happen when you try to run GEM twice. Right click on the bottom taskbar and select Task Manager. Look under Processes to make sure that GEM isn't running when you do the 69 xtra installation.
