View Full Version : Drifting w/ a wheel
Can someone please give me a few tips on drifting w/ a wheel in Dirt 3? I seem to be ok w/ a controller, but I just can't get the feel of it w/ the wheel yet. I'm using a G25 if it matters any.

Saves typing with, bit silly but hey ho! :)
Oh typing "w/" as short for "with" is a bit silly but things like "lol" aren't?
And how about someone actually answering the question?
Use the Logitech Profiler, set the wheel degrees to about 140 degrees.
In car setup set Downforce and Ride Height full right, set all others full left.
Put your e-brake somewhere that's easy to get to. On my G27 it is mapped to a button on the wheel itself which I found to be awkward. I mapped it instead to the clutch pedal and, no, I don't use the clutch in drifting. I'll remap the clutch when done drifting.
I do have a problem with the Lg Profiler, the game seems to ignore the "Specific Game Settings" (in Win 7 Pro x64). I don't know why, it works properly for all other games. So I'm using the "Apply Persistant Profile" in the "Global Profiler Settings". Need to remember to turn that off when using another game.
