So, we've probably all heard of the upcoming CSR/Forza range of products coming up. Well, a new video has just been released by the guys from Inside SimRacing and it shows 20 minutes of pure hardware p**n.

g-xDHdOHt44

This video features.
- The Handbrake
- The Clubsport Shifter (check it out at 16:00 minutes onwards)
- The new clubsport pedals (two sorts).
- The Forza CSR Wheel (GT2 with different wheel and (even) better internals)
- The Forza Elite wheel (You want this wheel)
- And the 'Clubsport'/'Codemasters tweet' wheel. Watch at 17:30 and onwards.

I think this is shaping up to be a great range of products.

It's also a very good video, with a very funny and good interview at the end.
They even talked about the customer service (well, almost).

This thread is to discuss everything about the new wheels.

And I leave you with this:
"This wheel (the Elite wheel) is closer to a FREX then a Logitech or T500".

and

"We will keep our fully modular ordering system so the pricing depends on the options you take. It will range between 320 and 700 for a set with pedals."

Cool. Fanatec sure has come a long way since I bought my Speedster 3 eons ago. Hopefully all the issues will be a thing of the past.

personally, they should make a version of the "Elite" without paddles (and a version with large fixed paddles on the drive unit) that you can bolt a Momo, nardi, moto-lita, etc wheel to. That would be cool.

The CS shifter is nice, but wouldve been cooler if it had a metal gated H-pattern. ( like the older ferraris)

The ClubSport wheel might be what you want, as it featured a quick-release.

The Thrustmaster TR500 Shifter unit seems to be what you want.

I decided against Turbo S/CSP edition or Thrustmaster500 at 699 each and was about ready to order a G27 for 395AUD + 38 postage.

6 months plus ( then how long to get to Oz ? ) ....... now I debating putting the money in shoe box and saving for these new Fanatec. damm ..

I actually have no idea what extras I'll be getting  By default the wheel doesn't come with shifters. But I have my current trusty shifter set so I can live with just the wheel for now. Until the ClubSport Shifter comes later this year ;)

geez redi, you're right on top of these things! good for you mate. I got my eye on the non-elite CSR wheel. It's nice that it's super-multi-platform friendly. So I can have my fun with CARS on PC and then go kick my buddies arse on F1 2011 on Xbox (since he only games on Xbox). This CSR may be the end-all wheel and I can unload my G27 at some point.

Well as a support agent I need to know the wheel otherwise I cannot support it ;) Being able to play with it is a fortunate side-effect

Welcome redi
Weeks passed, what are your impressions of using CSR-E?
I look forward to the opinions of the holders of this new toy. Despite my problems with PWTS as well as the CSP (which came back from Germany not repaired), I plan to purchase Wheel Clubsport.

The wheel has arrived. OMFreakingG it's a beauty. If this wheel works as the outside is promising, Fanatec will be going for world domination before the end of the year.

What's difference between CSR Elite Pedals and Clubsport Pedals?
They both are using load-cell aren't they? I'm quite interested in CSR Elite Pedals since it's cheaper but still has load-cell.

Actually I haven't been introduced to them yet. Surely they use a load cell for the brake, and one thing that is very interesting is that you can buy an extension kit to mount the pedals vertically. For the rest, I need to inform first before I can tell more.

Good for you. lol ;)

Prove nothing mate just I almost brought one for 438.
299 is good value, I certainly never seen them lower
here so I wont be saving for a better one ( like the Fanatec)
which I was thinking of doing above.

And rather then a new thread I thought
there may be a aussie like to have a heads up
and link while they last.

Redi why isn't Fanatec in NG dictionary. lol :)
