I broke my wheel :(
(what strainght  ) so it loos like i need to buy a new one so please help me with sugestions and advices what do you think what would be better

quality, more wheel "options" and i want something what will last so is it 1 or 2. :smash:

btw-P_G has get me thinking so i maybe wheel with more range like 900deg. DFP will be better choice and i can use pedalls of this one for a clutch

my times will be crap in everything what i drive becouse more range then unrealistic 240 deg. becouse you need to be fast for opposit lock and saving slides and even thought using a clutch is normal in car i really doubt that i can do it fast enougth in any game to stay competetive :o so is it lifting at changing like now better choice ?

so what will be?
unrealistic range MOMO and faster times  or slower times with realistic range DFP?

advices forom someone who has DFP would be wellcome :smash:

I've used both, DFP a bit more.

First of all, both have the same sucky pedals which have potentiometer problems (atleast older ones) and the springs on the brake pedal aren't any good (double springs), this is on the DFP I've been driving with.

If you only play with pc then it's an easy choice, the MOMO Racing. I'm guessing you don't have a PS2 and GT4 to get advantage of the full 900 degrees of DFP (sure there's few pc games that support it).

And if you happen to have better pedals that come with either of those it should be quite easy to mod them to work with the wheels. I modded my MOMO Force pedals to work with the DFP.

Both wheels have shifters so it's even here.

Now the steering angle. 240 degrees on the MOMO vs. 180/900 degrees on the DFP (yes it's only 180 degrees when locked although Logitech says 200 degrees). I find this 270 degrees of MOMO Force to be perfect so 240 degrees on the MOMO Racing should be quite good. With DFP you're sort of forced to use 180 degrees in games that doesn't support the full 900 degrees (sure it can be adjusted with DXTweak but there's no physical locks to other than 180 and 900 degrees). Games that don't support 900 degrees and using it with them feel weird.

So overall I'd choose MOMO Racing if only pc use. (And search for a used MOMO Force ;)).

I was looking at those two reviews and...

MOMO Force Review (http://www.athlonxp.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Diner_Wrapper&file=index&req=ShowFile&file_wrap=html/reviews_momo_wheels_2.html)

MOMO Racing Review (http://www.athlonxp.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Diner_Wrapper&file=index&req=ShowFile&file_wrap=html/reviews_momo_wheels_3.html)

To put it frankly -MOMO Force (red one) seems like a good solid durable wheel what will last  and i can't say that for MOMO Racing edition (black one) becouse it looks like cheap plastic... :dood:

If it is choice between MOMO Force and DFP i would choose MOMO Force right away even it is only 270 deg but now i don't know and MOMO Racing is worse at one more thing becouse it have 240 deg. and not like 270 at the MOMO Force.

Force had metal paddle shifters and Racing has plastic ones  and most important to me is that Force had metal bearing for the wheel, and some sort of a metal shaft like the new DFP  and at MOMO Racing that is only plastic  and it seems it will get loose with time like my LW FF GP whitch you can now (after almost 2 years/troubles started after 6 months) move a 1 cm in his plastic bearing
btw-Force had leather-wrapped wheel and Racing has rubber :( like DFP

but the Racing cost like the old Force at my shithole of a country  and it is far from quality of a Force so if i'm allready giving that money maybe it would be better to give some more for DFP becouse it seems closer to quality of Force and better becouse metal bearing and so much more range whitch i can use how much i want in 900 deg. mode. I don't need to use whole 900  becouse with some new drivers i don't need DXTweek to set up a range and most important i wont have some stupid sort of deadzone (wheel not working beyond that point ...) if i cross lets say the 360 deg. becouse drivers use FF to stop the wheel :) .Seems that DFP is much better quality then MOMO Racing?

You were using both wheels so-is it noise from DFP really that annoying?

Yes but Racing have a gear stick, :drive: I really don't buy wheels without a gear stick, cause it feels dum to change gears with buttons etc.

Clutch makes you slower? I have just noted that using clutch makes me to faster, cause I'm somehow getting better feeling to the car and I concencrate to driving more. :)

But it's your choise.

By the way if you buy wheel without a clutch you can buy joystic with 20 euros and use it to be clutch. :P You only get your left foot tired and feel painful aftert playing two hours with too soft clutch pedal. :smash:

when i look at that poll

let me guess-you all have MOMO Racing so it is naturall that you don't want to say anything against it :o

and pepe-don't make me laught, you play your games with a clutch

any wheel what i buy it will be without clutch (i will use my present pedalls for that ) becouse i don't know for any comercial wheel what comes with it and i really doubt that you have some exotic stuff like act-labs pedalls or FREX shifter so not having gear stick at the side of the wheel is not that much - becouse there are far from real stuff so using a paddle shifters is not bad ;)

I have momo force and the DFP, both good wheels IMO.. I would go for the DFP despite what vrmx says about the lock, using dxtweak to set the range to 360 works quite well IMO, and as it shares similar internals to the momo force I think its the better buy compared to momo racing which is a bit cheap and nasty ;)

I would go for building quality, so that makes it the DFP. It'll be my choice when my trusty Sidewinder falls apart, which it refuses. After 3 years of abuse it only lost some rubber :D

My wheel is also very close to collapse although I had it only for around 15 months. I am thinking of going for the DFP, or using the internals of my current one(pots work fairely well still) and making the mehanics by myself. I allready have the steering wheel ready(my thrusty MOMO Champion from my Alfa-it is getting worn so I will have to switch) and I have plenty of material and stuff do make the wheel and pedals. Only problem is that I dont really have the time to go and make the wheel and in the end effect I will not be sure if it will work as I want it to(I would make a gearing system from the wheel to the pot so I would get at least 360 degrees of usefull range-more going for 720 degrees)

I have a Momo Force for a few weeks now, and I can recommend this wheel very honestly. Wheel fits good and has good grip in hands. With shifter (changeable from right to left), two paddles and six buttons there are enough possibilities for almost every game. Best price I found in internet is about 115 €.
But I wouldn't buy the cheap "race" version at all, it don't look to me as it will last a long time in excessive use ;)

well,i can't find Force edition so it will be DFP :o

btw-it's sad but to me it seems thar MOMO Racing was made only that people can say that they have a MOMO  ;)

to all who have that wheel-i found one great page what describes to details how to fix common problems with that wheel

I use my 20 euros joystic to be a clutch :o well but it's better than nothing I was thinking, and it really works.

Yes I know that you know that i can handle clutch, but still I say that I have droven from 9-year old, so I have 6 years, some kinda, driving experiense, and I'm maybe gonna buy second car with 100 euros, and then I'm gonna have very much RWD, side first, driving style-experiense.

By the way, if you remember that my 15 year old friend, now he have 5 cars, and maybe he's gonna buy 6th too. :smash:

. But still, he's cars:

Volvo 242 2.2
BMW 320i
Opel Corsa 1.3 (he did buy it with 1 euro :D )
Subaru, maybe impreza, can't remember, I haven't seen it cause he keep it in he's brothers house, somewhere 500 km up to north...
Lada 1200, it's faster than bimmer, cause BMW has crashed so many times... :P

And he's gonna buy some RWD car, cause he is tired to FWD Corsa, he is gonna get that Corsa on it's roof many times, and he put videos of it to internet, if he get digi-cam from somewhere... :smash:

Ok, this was OT, stopping now, I hope...

i did buy a wheel and it looks small on the first look :o (like for children or something :P )

now I would like to know is there some order of deinstal/instalation of drivers for this wheel becouse i'm having some problems with it...

i had LW FF GP and first i deinstalled drivers for it.
second i install new 4.6 drivers for DFP but during installation it asks for some files

WmHidLo.sys and WmFilter.sys :banghead:

Imagine

well one step at the time and one by one with all those ideas :P

when i bought the wheel i would like to try it becouse i didn't buy it just to look at it :P

can someone give me those files ? :smash:

Thx. Midi :)

i hope to finally install those drivers so that i can get my hands entangle with 900 deg. :P :o

Imagine

warning for other suckers: :P

think twice before buying this if you plan to drive GPL becouse FF is ... :banghead:

I'm messing with it whole day and i can't set it right like i had on W FF GP

its jumpy and snappy and not constant like on old wheel

btw-about the files...
-4.40 drivers are without problems (instalation) but when i clean them and go to install 4.60 it allway looks/asks for those files even thought those two files are presen in instaler himself-so i just browsed to them becouse they are unpacked by instaler :sherlock: in C:/ProgramFiles/CommonFiles/Logitech/LGS460Inst/Drivers

but i tried RBR with 540 deg and it is :OMG:
hand over hand-thats the stuff :woohoo:
