At nearly $40 inc. shipping to the UK I'd say they are. That's £24ish.
I was looking at these a while ago for the DFGT, but I ended up ripping the little green shift paddles off my old Madcatz 360 wheel, drilled a couple of holes in the DFGT paddle buttons and the green paddles, put a paper clip through them, some modelling putty (Green Stuff, more commonly known as kneadatite) and a bit of superglue (after they fell off. Lol.) and they're as good as gold now.
If you're any good at DIY you could probably make similar paddles yourself, just pop down to B&Q, buy some thick perspex, a couple of hinges, a few screws and you're good to go. Probably be cheaper as well. ;)
Can you please post some pictures or a video? I've been thinking to do something similar for some time but I'm not really sure how to and what I need to make the paddles.

Who are you directing that question at?

At you. I thought it was obvious.

Not really. That's why I asked.
As for doing what I did. You'll need a Madcatz Xbox 360 Microcon steering wheel.
I didn't make them from scratch, I was merely suggesting to Murphy that it would probably be cheaper to do so.
I was more interested in how you actually put them on the wheel, as for paddles I have some from an old Genius wheel, I think they'll work.

Ok I'll take a couple of pics later.
Basically what I did was what I've said above though. But I guess a pic will show it better.

Ok here's a couple of pics of what I did.
Apologies for the quality, I'm not a particularly great photographer and I don't have a proper camera anyway, only my BlackBerry.
Wheel seems to be a bit dusty as well...

As you can see all I did was stick them straight onto the back of the existing paddles. As I said above I drilled a couple of holes, stuck a paper clip through to act as pins, and used a bit of modelling putty and superglue to ensure they stay attached.
Probably a bit small for people with large hands but they work fine for me. Certainly easier to find than the buttons themselves were.
It's nice what you have done there but my paddles have a different shape so I don't know if I'll be able to do as you did. Thanks for the pics.

I've seen Fanatec paddles for their wheels put onto a DFGT, all you have to do is put a block (made of a square bit of plastic usually) between them and the buttons.
It's really just a matter of being confident in drilling holes and using putty/superglue/pins. You can put anything on the back there if you want to.
Problem with most paddle mods I've seen, is they apparently have a habit of doing a double shift.
I've even experienced it myself with the ones I've put on the wheel, you press the paddle in and it makes the wheel shift twice (up or down, whichever one you pressed), doesn't happen to me all that often as the paddles I've fixed on are quite light, but I would imagine the problem would be worse with larger ones.
Especially the ones Murph is looking at.
It's a shame the only Logitech wheel with a decent set of paddles is the G25/G27, if they put those paddles on the DFGT it would be so good...

Here's Another Method of Adding Paddles to a DFGT, Quite Interesting That This Method Seems So Simple, I Guess You Need Thin Flexable Metal to Achieve a Satifactory Result..

But This Method is Reverable and Requires No Drilling or Sticky Stuff...:-)
I'll Definatley Give it a Go

Yeah I saw that one also, I'm not too good at metal working so I discounted it as a viable solution for me, besides the fact I don't have the correct tools or the metal to do it with. And in my experience if you only have a hand saw metal cutting is quite difficult, and I definitely wouldn't want to use an electric saw on something that small and intricate...
My method is quite reversible also, for me anyway, just remove the paddles, fill the holes in, give it a bit of a sanding down, paint the result black and no-one would be any the wiser. ;)
Think somewhere in that same thread is the guy who put on the Fanatec paddles as well. ;)
