Hopefully this means every track on the ALMS calender will be included. That's one definite thing Forza needs more of. Real race tracks. Fantasy tracks are ok, but real tracks bring a racing game to life.

I wouldn't get my hopes up on that one.
They've had ALMS cars in the game for the last 2 iterations, along with a few of the tracks (looking at the schedule for this season it seems they have 4 of the 9 on the calendar - Sebring, Laguna, Road America and Road Atlanta), and they've had Nascar and Aussie V8s in the game, but they've not bothered with having a full compliment of tracks for either of those series (if any in the case of Nascar and the Aussie v8s).
Way I see this is it's just another way of saying, "we'll have some more ALMS cars in the game, or officially class the ones we already have, we might put in a couple of extra ALMS tracks although we already have just under half of them and can pad any championship with fantasy tracks, and we'll have some online multiplayer events associated with ALMS as a promotion and we might throw in a championship event in single player mode".
They "partnered" with Top Gear for some FM3 content, did we get the TG Test Track, like hell we did!!
But who knows. FM4 could turn out to be a full on ALMS sim.
I just wish someone would make a BTCC sim...

Maybe Codemasters will bring back Toca again. Though I wouldn't call the old 90's games sims, but today many games are very sim like. So maybe there's hope. But like you said, I'm not gonna hold my breath.

If they did make ToCA again it wouldn't have BTCC sadly :( The organizers of BTCC are very..... picky about the series being used in games. Sad really.

I hope Forza and GT go down the route of linking up with real GT racing more, but as you all say....it's a wait and see situation with what exactly FM4 will have, the tracks mentioned are already in FM3. It would be nice to see Mid Ohio, Long Beach, Lime Rock, Mosport in the game. I have them all in GTR2 (along with many ALMS cars)...I even did two 12 hours of Sebring!! (too many fuel retirements tho, never sussed how to correct that).

Well, it's not too complicated. There's this device called the fuel delivery nozzle. And there's this other device, and it's fuel receptical. It's kinda like tab A into slot B. And then there's this thing which pumps the fuel. I can't recall what it's name is. The result is....more fuel! ;-):-P:-P:laugh:
Sorry, couldn't pass that up.;-)

Yes but Codemasters still have the BTCC license. The reason no BTCC game has been made is because of lack of interest (officially what Codemasters and ToCA have said when contacted numerous times by a friend of mine)
