View Full Version : Are the AI perfect in this F1 2011 Release or do they DNF, Crash, Retire, etc?

In F1 2010 it seemed like the AI were perfect come race time ... very few if any of them would crash or DNF, which was just an immersion killer for me. Attrition in F1 races in real life can be quite high, and I was wandering if this is better in the new game or if they are still pretty much on rails, don't make mistakes and 20 cars in each race finish with almost no DNFs? -- Feedback?

So far I've seen Alonso's engine "explode" and fill the track with smoke and many wrecks and DNF's.

The AI are far from perfect, yet at the same time they are much harder to compete with in career mode on legend difficulty and starting from a "sub-par" team.

ok so this is encouraging, it at least seems like they are improved over the 2010 version of the game, where they almost never crashed or had a mechanical failure, etc.

Funny you mention that, in practice I have seen Alonso's engine "explode" too. :?: Would be nice to see a crash in front of me, although a yellow came out in a full race (safety car enabled) and we went 3 laps under yellow but never seen the safety car.
