so i bought forza couple days ago and its a great game, but for pc racing fans IMHO no! i love the cars/cockpits/track great! still not a fan of way the guy turns wheel but i can live cars upgrade as you upgrade, no longer standard cars agaist your tuned one great, AI 1,000,000 times better then 3, AI gets stuck in, great stuff again club car sharing thing great.

couple things really REALLY pesh me of
i level up and get offered a number of cars Great, not quite, i chose a car and fine its tuned upto example A600 not standard at all, Turn10 i want to chose upgrades for my car thank you i want a standard car!!
i first thought when playing the game, woah this handing is quite good, then i woke up, why on simulator setting and i slide, does the wheel want to straighten up sort of shift2 drift esk and i end up flying in other direction!!
since when playing forza did i have to weave through cars like im 12 and bowl over some peshing cones i like forza, if i wanted NFS i would buy F*CKING NFS
it just feels like its made for kids, game does everything for you and you just pick car win, win erm... win? NO! TURN10 NO!

sorry for rant!

I didn't really understand anything so I'll do my best...

Won cars can be downgraded easily... Go in the upgrade "market", press "start" and choose "default"...

About the steering... This is commonly called tank-slapping, which is very controllable when you know what to do ;)

Why should I need to downgrade a car, the whole fun of tuning a car is you chose it was just a useless rant really and I understand the tankslapper but it just feels vague not enough feeling for my liking

Downgrade it and after tune it to your liking... Simple I think...

And to be honest I have a Microsoft Wheel and there's more than enough feeling when going to tank-slap it or when understeering, oversteering, etc...

So far my only two complaints are the A.I. related. I wouldn't mind the mountain chase events, if the slow cars to be slalomed were not intentionally trying to block, or crash into you.

And that goes for the regular A.I. opponents. I don't know why they program the A.I. to be like this. And the excuse of using to to demonstrate the damage model is not an exceptable answer. The Toca series, starting with the Original Toca Touring cars all had damage, and they had it on the PS1, and the A.I. drivers were not suicidal kamakazi's trying to destroy your car. The didn't check brake, they didn't slash across the track trying to block or force a crash.

This is a part of both Forza 3 and 4 and I hate it. If there is not going to be an update to permanently change this, than I want an update that allows me to start every race on Pole no matter what my cars class number is.

So far it's the only part of Forza 4 that bothers me is having to deal with the crash crazy A.I., which are also able to turn, brake, and accelerate faster than there spec should allow. They are almost always able to beat me to corners when they shouldn't be able to. And they can always brake 5 to 10 meters farther than they should, and they are still able to make the corner with nearly perfect apexing.

This must be there way of manufacturing challenge when a player is very fast. Not to toot my own horn, but my Top 1 percentile driving seems to make every A.I. cheat beyond belief in order to create a challenge where none should exist.

Aside from this glaring problem with the game, I as yet have no complaints. I've done 45 races thus far, I'm a level 22 driver, and I've got over half a mil in the bank, with over 7 million in garage value for my cars.

I'm in no rush to complete the game, I'm not trying overly hard to set lap times, or to get heavy into online racing. At the moment I'm just totally enjoying the cars themselves which are the stars of the game by a lightyear(measured in time, not distance. someone will find that funny!). :-P;-)

Anyway, how many of you are interested in seeing me drive the Lancia 037 around a nice scenic twisty track like Maple Valley raceway?

wait there is a damage model in Forza 4, all i get is paint scratches and thats it or and broken side windows. tbh its like they didnt touch the crash physics or models from Forza 3

still having alot of fun with the game tho, doing the event races one by one instead of the world tour

Yeah the damage model has not improved much, if at all. In fact, I think more parts fell off in Forza 3 than 4. Considering all the updates GT5 is getting maybe we can expect some of this from Turn 10.

Dang, I was hoping the AI would be worth a crap, Do we have a way to contact the developers in person and convince them that, in real life, people aren't all on the track trying to bang up their $100,000 cars?

I: would like to see a Lancia video..

This seems to be a problem with any self adjusting AI. As things get faster the AI gets crazier. As of now I don't have that problem, but I'm trying.
