New CAP that makes Crossfire work

There are two new CAP's.
11.9-CAP3 improves single GPU performance but does fix crossfire. You need 11.9-CAP4 to fix crossfire. 11.9-CAP4 is not official but what I have read it works. I will test these tonight when I get home.

F1 2011:
- Improves performance on Single GPU configurations
- Forced on Anti-Aliasing through the Catalyst Control Center has been disabled

The result from tonights testing is that the different CAP doesn't make any difference when I run single GPU. CAP4 makes xfire work but performance isn't as good as single GPU.
With single GPU I get average 50 and min 43.
With old CAP and xfire enabled I got average 12 and min 12, i.e. totally unplayable. With CAP4 I get average 48 and min 34.
That is forget about getting dual GPU setups for now.

Yeah, it's terrible. I've had to set Radeon Pro to disable CrossFire yet again.

The notes are a real piss take... and do you know what makes it even worse? we've had to wait over a month for this joke.

What's frightening is seeing how solid DiRT2 is with CrossFire on a pair of 5870's at 1920x1080 8xAA. Then F1 2011 at the same resolution with AA and it's fluctuating all over the place from high 80's to high 40's with clear road.

Then! there's other bugs. I don't even run vsync and sometimes the menus/garage for no apparent reason lock at 30fps. Then! On track sometimes, again... for no apparent reason the fps never dips below 60 nor goes above 60. It's like I was running DiRT2 with vsync on. Yet vsync is disabled.

This is what I have encountered with CrossFire disabled for F1 2011. Even then I can't run vsync with F1 2011, as the game will eventually crash. I never had this with F1 2010. Nor had I had the fps drop below 60fps unless I was recording. Lowest it went was 45 - 50 with a full grid.

So infuriating the problems, and bloody more corrupt saves today! I have sorted it but it keeps occurring. :thumbdown:
