Wheel remembrance?

I set my g25 as the default controller in the game under driving controls. I back out it autosaves. I play its all good. I quit the game comeback later and it defaults to my keyboard and I have to switch over to the wheel again. Does this happen to anyone else? Is there a fix or is there a setting I'm oblivious to?

Are you tapping keys when the game asks to start? if so, don't unless you get a corrupt save.

I hit enter when it tells me to other than that no.

Do not hit enter on your keyboard. You must "start" the game with the controller you want to use to drive.

Keep hitting buttons on your wheel until the game starts, then remember what button that was.

The game defaults to whatever device you use to "start" the game.

I see Codemasters is still employing the same old shenanigans it did with F1 2010, DIRT3...and now F1 2011 where save settings are concerned. Should this NOT have been fixed by now? It's three games later. What's the excuse this time?
