If you simply wanna buy a motion sim rig, then the Prosimu looks like a good idea, although on the pricey side. 2500€ will give you just the rear motion part (judging from the pictures as i don´t speak french). The front part is 500€ extra, which is overpriced.
If you build a setup like this by yourself you save some money, the building cost will be around 800-1000€ (depending on materials and technic).
But you should have a bit of knowledge in DIY stuff.
I always wanted to build a 2dof simulator, but I could never work out where to get all the parts in the UK at a reasonable price.
I'm stuck with a static GamePod at the moment, its pretty boring really. I wouldn't mind attaching some SCN5 linear actuator's to the back of it and spring some life in to it.

To be quite honest, they are not worth the money to me. I had the great opportunity to spend a full day on a Cruden full motion simulator. It had three seats, over a half dozen PC's to get the motion right, and cost a couple hundred thousand dollars! That thing was extremely fun. But it was fun in the same way a roller coaster is fun. Heck one of my friends actually vomited after a few laps.
We had a group of 6 from my league there for the day. 3 of those guys are what I would consider aliens in the Sim world. We all concluded that the motion doesn't really add anything that would make you a faster or just better racer. It just adds to the fun. But I don't think there is any way to simulate enough G's to feel like a real race car. Maybe one of those that have the driver way out on a robotic arm that has meters of range could come close, but only for a second or so.
So, with that said. If you have the money to get a motion simulator for your home, ask yourself this: "Self, am I going to get this for the fun it will add to my racing, or do I expect this to feel like I am in a real car?".
If you expect it to add much realism, I think you will be very much disappointed. But if you enjoy roller coasters, and have the money to fix it when it breaks, then go for it!! I promise it will be loads of fun, then it will just become a party piece to only start when your buddies come over.
If you want to see the video of us on the Cruden, let me know and I'll post it again.
