Just installed WRC 2 after completing WRC 1
The game crashes just after a car appears on the track.
I have the latest drivers installed and run W7 i did get a Direct x warning but i have the latest driver.
I emailed black bean but they failed to reply  i have also installed the latest patch.
Can anyone help on this please?
Thanks

Yeah, me too have the same problem.
I' ve installed WRC 2 last night and everything works fine until i get to the part wher i need to start playing.
So, I start the game, go trough start meny, select race type and everything else but when the game loads it starts up 3d environment (car at the start point) and it lasts a second or two and then it snaps back to the desktop.
I have Win 7 64bit on a AMD X2 5600, 4 GB RAM, Gforce GT240.
The game should work perfectly on that platform.
I have no viruses.
I applied patch 1.1 for WRC 2 but the problem remains. I also tried to configure the game so it works with minimal graphic settings but the problem still remains.
The only thing i did not try is to update the graphic driver
Any suggestions on this?

I too have tried various drivers for the video card and re loaded the game without the patch and it still crashes.
Would be interested to know about the sound card issue.

Change the sound setting to 24 bit 44100 Hz, this was a problem for me, this was solved.

Spot on
Don't know how you found that out but it works it's under Speaker Properties and mine was set at the highest and this is the lowest.
Cheers for that and thanks very much.
Thanks Blackbean for all your help

I just checked my settings, all maxed out, but I am using an Auzentech audio card. I am assuming you are using onboard audio. And for the record, not bashing onboard audio, just asking to confirm my assumption.
And I have a nice clean picture, no distortion, which others have complained about.

Creative X-FI sound card.
Game seems to run fine on maximum graphics :-)

Used to run Creative, got tired of all the driver issues and tried Auzentech, couldn't be happier. Good to see you have it all figured out. The game is not perfect, but I enjoy it. Hopefully there will be a WRC3 and they will get the rest of the little issues resolved and have it look a little more polished.
This crash was really sad. But if you take a careful look at the video of this then situation is a little clear about the who is on the mistake..
It was the front one driver due to which this incident is occur. Otherwise the condition was the different.
