Headlights causing flicker on track?

Anyone else getting this? Headlights to ON causing black flicker on the tracks?

Hmm it seems to be....and its made worse if I race in rain...

Some tracks do have this problem, but if it is all of them it could be your graphics card\setting.

*sigh* everythings perfect apart from this...back to playing and tweaking lolol :)

There is a cure. You adjust one of the cam settings. Look for the DefCams file in the Userdata folder. Adjust this line.
ClipPlanes=(0.17500, 500.000000)

try this setting for the cockpit cam.

ClipPlanes=(0.37500, 500.000000) //(0.17500, 500.000000)

It may take some tweeking to find the right values for your system.

Thanks for this reply Dave. I've used "gtr2 clipplanes" now as a google search term and found a lot more info than I was getting.

Unfortunately changing clipplanes seems to have other negative consequences (for instance inside left of car disappears!) and the general consensus of opinion seems to be either put up with the flickering or lose some interior detail of the car...rock and a hard place.

It would appear to be a limitation of the gmotor engine :(
