I think he's just pointing out that the Team Member build (and patch) released today contained a new car (Ariel Atom V8) and a new track fictionally named "Northampton".

I was hoping the "Northampton" track was going to be Rockingham :-(

Grabbing this next week.

Hope they put those historic circuits from that Shift2 console DLC
in this. :-P

They can't use Shift 2 content, it's owned by EA.

Besides, pCARS content has a much higher level of detail...

They can't use the game content, but they can certainly build their own from scratch!

Also there was a rumour that the Zolder in Shift 2 originated from the one in GT Legends but I don't know if it's true.

Of course, they have already re-built some tracks from Shift 2.

I'm sure EA would have provided the budget to build tracks like that from scratch, but there's always the possibility SMS still had some content they had rights to. Like stuff from the un-released Ferrari game.

Yeah that is what I meant. ;)

indeed, they bought some or all assets from blimey...

when you look at S2U, no one ever did 20 - 30 tracks in 1 1/2 year from scratch. so also small inaccuracis are expected (wide bathurst, 50m wide nordschleife :-P )

EA didn't even provided marketing for S2U compared to their holiday releases

I know Bathurst was a bit wide, but Nords seemed about right based on my time from playing GTR Evo.
Nobody could ever post pictures to prove it was wide...

Hi, thinking of dipping my toes in the water with a junior membership.
What build would I start of with, the latest build 141 or something else? also if I really like it and wanted to go for the higher memberships, do you just have to pay the difference?

Thanks for any reply. :)

This Friday all Juniors will be leveled again with the current builds, so now is an excellent time to step in :)

If you want to upgrade, of course you'll only pay the difference.

Anyone else think build 141 took a huge step backwards in FFB?

I was very excited to try this build, but the FFB is very hard. I can't feel anything other than my wheel shaking and rattling. Almost feels like my wheel is going to break.

Like the new UI though.

I haven't had time to test 139 yet.

Well your feedback is the complete opposite of everyone else's with the same wheel so I'm thinking something has gone wrong there. Do you tick "allow game to adjust settings" in the profiler?
Either that or your personal taste is different, but since you feel nothing but shaking and rattling I think something is wrong.
I would say update your drivers but since Logitech hasn't updated them in years the chances of your drivers being dated are pretty slim. No harm in a re-install though.

Haven't had a chance to try 141 myself yet. Also have a G27 so I'll post back when I do.
Just moved to a new place and waiting for my desk. Not too keen on setting the wheel up on the dining room table

Yeah I noticed it's the opposite of what everyone else saying. It's weird, 139 felt pretty good, but when I added the 141 patch, it went to pot.

Nothing has changed in my profiler settings (allow game is checked) and I even deleted the entire CARS folder in Docs so I could do a fresh calibration.

If I reduce the FFB low enough to stop the rattling, then I can't feel the tires or the road.

All my other sims feel normal, so it's not my wheel.

^there's no shame in hooking up the G27 to a dining table. I'm in the same boat as you!

Well since the courier company just broke my new desk and/or chair and I will have to wait a bit longer for a new set, I might just do that

dude, my moving company did the same thing! WTH!? But they did reimburse me so I'm ok with that.

Sorry to take ths too far OT but if you got desk recommendations please PM me. I may just go with something cheap again to get off the dining table and save up for an Obutto later this year.

Nope :)

But I have heard some say it`s causing them the same problems you describe gears... only a small few though.

You need Team Member status to download weekly builds. The 10 Euro Junior membership only gives you monthly builds.
You should be able to download today/tomorrows build though. You get the first Friday build each month.
