Can't tell that I like new lighting system and new sun glare. Yep it's more cinematic now, but the previous one was deeper and more natural. But maybe it's just me.
...and I see the completely clear skies, so guess it's preparation for putting the moving clouds layers :)

It's a very first pass of the new lighting system so there will be plenty of improvements and additions in the coming months. Personally I think that the new system already gives more natural lighting ;)

I think the cars are over saturated at night.. but it's the tech that's important right now. They'll tweak things to make it appear more natural, but ultimately just having the ToD system is impressive.

I wrote on the WMD forum that it's neat to watch them add a new graphical feature to the game.. but when you view all the features together, that's when it starts to really impress.. and there's more yet to go before the graphics are considered done.

I just had a happy accident where while frapsing a run for youtube, I beat my pb and took 6th leaderboard at CHGP.

Seems like WMD is having some problems as I can`t get there either. Hopefully be fixed up soon... what a time to have a server (or something) problem. No time is good but on a new build release day!!!

MSi GTX570 PE and CM GX750w ( for 8 pin damm ) - $480
$2.50 return on train with pushie to pickup saves $46 lol

Got one GTX460 soc already sold for $150 inc. install, AB, tweaking and game configs, bench testing yadda yadda
$150 for other one and $100 for Seasonic M12 700 with free install, tweaking.. so $400 back.

Way I see it I should be getting pretty close to GTX460 SLi performance
but alot better were SLi scaling is not great. :twisted:

Which again reaffirms my view on needing 2GB cards for "sims"
Sure if you run Metro2003 2560 maxxed or Skyrim with maps ....or whatever
sure yes get a 2GB+ card.
But I run Single 1920 sims not shooters :-P ....... and 2 of the next 3 releases are already out only GTR3 to come and I can run them fine with 1GB now. lol and they ain't even optimized 100% yet

How are the build/updates being done in CARS?
Are they small updates to what you already have...OR...Do you have to download one big file every time a new build comes out?

There have been a couple of patches, but the majority of builds require you to uninstall the previous version (along with profile) to install the new build. But the installer will do that for you.

The last few builds have been 2GB+

The weekly/monthly new builds go 2.5 GB currently. Patches start 'small' at 200MB on Monday up til 1+ GB on Thursday, but that's only for Managers :)

Hope they fix the MS wheel problem, I have not been able to play the last 3 builds. They added the F1 I wanted to drive and bingo games dead to me lol.

Yeah I got a little excited when I thought that build 184 was going to be Junior :D But then I realised I counted the days wrong and it wasn't the first Friday of the month :laugh:
