Did anyone catch the F1 grand prix in Turkey. Just thought Button was brilliant. 13th to 4th during the race including a fastest lap. Kimi was good (As per norm) and Very unlucky JPM.

Maybe we should make an F-1 topic sticky as well, so we won't have new topics after every race :smash:

But as far as the race itself is concerned  well a great first race in Turkey.
Plenty of interesting moments, Schumacher still having trouble, Williams struggleing with their tires :smash: , and Montoya...well yeah
Looks like the track has many places where the pilots can ovartake, so far it looks like it is a very nice strip of tarmac, unlike Magny-Cours for example...
But the most important thing, Kimi won again :)

Nah..missed it. I really wanted to see this race, the tracked looked good from various maps I have seen. I caught part of the race on the radio.

Kimi is driving superbly right now, it seems that every time he has a car capable of winning, he does just that.......so, too Alonso. In contrast, you have to look at their team mates and say that, whilst quick, they don't seem to be maximising their chances.

So, how come Fizzy qualified and started ahead of Alonso on the road, but managed to get overtaken?

Fizzy took the lead right after the first corner.
Then he went just a bit off track later on the first lap and Kimi got his lead back.
Alonso was still behind Fisichella, but then we could hear something like this from the team radio  '' you are faster than Fisico, take over (or was it go past him? )''
But no team orders are allowed :argue:
This might cost Kimi the title this year...

Rules state you are not allowed to say Fisi slow down and let Alonso overtake but if they just say, Alsonso your quicker to both drivers you can take the point and let the other guy through. Stupid :banghead:

Kimi's driving was very good again, but I wasn't looking it live, cause I was in Historic Grand Race at Ahvenisto.

What does he have to do to get some luck  First the engine penalty, then a tyre problem in the race forcing an un-planned pitstop.

Yet again another brilliant drive - did anyone spot that he got the fastest qualy time, yet was fuelled up for a one stopper!

I was enjoying Rubens getting the better of MS, such a shame that he had to pit (puncture I think).

Shumi had a tyre delamination. ha ha. But Kimi was soooooooo good. I worked out that without the spin and tyre proplem he would of one by 30s. And about quali, that was very quick for someone with a full tank of gas!

Yea, I have sayed this few times already, but Kimi is maybe the fastest driver on F1 just right now, :trophy: but the bad luck doesn't seeming to end. :(

BTW, Kimi did a new F1 speed record in Monza. :trophy: :trophy:

Suzuka was just a fantastic race! The best of the season IMHO. Awesome overtake by Alonso, and Kimi showed off being the best driver at this moment. Classic.

Great race, worth an early morning for.............Kimi & Fernando were both awesome. Probably Fernando just gets the vote from me for that fantastically brave move on MS :OMG: and another one on Mark Webber. DC had a good race too :trophy:
