someone time please?lol
1:19 is solid enough... although, i'm having framerate problems on this track, so will see if i can fix that come Sat... :?:
Weight penalties applied to the server.
I have been reminded that we have been invited to a wedding this Saturday so it looks like another non start for me :-(
Scotty; i tested the track and had over 200 fps on my system - do you have a specific issue with FPS on this circuit only?

I think i have a specific issue with having a crap, slow computer
I usually run on minimum settings to keep things smoother during online play, but some tracks are still very detailed even at this level - from the top of my head here at Mosport, Monza, Macau is another that is very detailed.
But, i just fiddled with some things, and setting to DX7 seemed to help a bit, enough to get things smooth enough to drive properly anyway. :-)

It seem's that quite many drivers are going to miss this one. Should we postpone the race??:-)

Well we thought the turn out would be low last week but got eleven guys on the server - i know Bob has a new graphics card fitted now after his old one gave up last week so he will be back.
Looks like Peter and Scotty will be there - Verce has not missed a race since the start of the season either.
What about our other racers? Guys?
I just tested the track and I love it lol I thought is Most Czech track which I don like it. With 55kg my best was 1:18 high.
We can postpone this race for next weekend if it helps to others make race;-)

A guy i know is interested in racing too, in game name Raider i think here username is Raider00657 (http://www.nogripracing.com/forum/member.php?u=234329). But i told him to post here to sign up, etc, so he should confirm that.
As for postpone, i'm good either way, whatever is easiest for everyone :)
I am not a big fan of postponing events unless the grid will literally be destroyed by non attendance, it sets a precedent for future races in which one or more members cannot race. It could end up that next week several of us can't race and then what? Postpone again?
As Skog is in and Raider may join too i think its probably best to leave things as planned - there are at least 6 guys ready to race that we know of and a few others who are likely to join too.
ok then I'm looking forward for tomorrow;-)

Well I was at the track today with a team and someone died so tomorrow is cancelled - so I could race now, but I have a stupid amount of uni work so might get some sleep and miss the race.
I'm not a fan of postponing races either - you fools cancelled a race for SOCCER!!! . . . SOCCER!!!
and that whacked my season around :P

YES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
do make another install for this, or it should work with the URL installation too.
in pilsbierbude there are hundrets of different cars installed and any thousends of skins, so the possibility is much high that you become cheat problems.
i would never install my leagues mods. in my pilsbierbude GTR2

Mind that there is a GTR2 bug where even with a clean install, you will sometimes get "booted as cheat" for no reason...
so try at least 5 times before you go on a wild goose chase ;-)

Thanks to all, great!
last on the grid
i could pass scotty and bob who both went off t1 and t2
then braking before the esses i got a little love tap from bob
that spun me around , bob waited and we went on racing with scotty
who had then joined us .
4th ? lap , t2 , a car in front of me was in the grass and i did the same , hitting the wall and rejoining the track with low speed, i heard a car very nearby and tried to go out of the way but too late , scotty hit me so bad , both of us had to withdraw from the race.
a race to forget and apologies to scotty for ending his race
in such a horrible way.

I appreciate your comment here. I am sorry for the contact too, i just didn't know where you were going and was surprised that you guys recovered right into the racing line. But we can move on to Silverstone and hopefully more fun racing there.
I think this track was not very good for me, not a massive fan of it. Had problems with handling over bumps and it just felt like driving on a knife edge the whole time. And then those tyre barriers and harsh grass at the side of the track that really punished you didn't help my cause much. Roll on Silverstone...
Q 5 (middle)
R 3 (middle also)
Mixed feeling about this race, even if I'm on the podium (not by good driving, but because of the mess around). Actually I was 3rd (I think) after three laps, but I've been sent off track on probably the worst place on the track: at the beginning of T2. Knowing that hitting the wall would mean "missing in action", I focused on dodging it, and tried to be careful while going back on the track. All that cost me 25 sec because the engine stalled... Grats to Peter for the win on this scary track, with some scary driving moments  and GG to GSI Bob for racing togheter, even one lap from each other (I think you were actually a bit faster then me ;-) )
I can't make the last race, so see you in S5.

Use GTR2 to watch... find the folder that contains all your replays (usually ReplayData)

found it, this online stuff gets better and better!
Just been watching some of the replay guys - seems like there were some issues with accidents, rejoining the track and waiting in safe places.
I would not say the entrance to turn two is a good overtaking spot but i saw several incidents on the entry to the corner. It is a one line bend which easily sucks you out wide even by yourself never mind two wide.
One incident seemed to cause chaos early on in which Raider and Skogkatt came together at that turn, Raider was waiting for Skog in a safe place (which is good) but the cars following on all misjudged the situation ahead - Bob ran wide into the gravelly grass and hit Raider, Verce went off too and rejoined with Skog right into the path of Scotty, ending Scotty's race.
Just a few reminders for everyone to take from this -
1) If you find yourself off the track for any reason try to rejoin without crossing the racing line and use your mirrors!
2) If you are waiting for someone because you had contact with them that was clearly your fault and you want to give the position back it may be better to keep driving at a reduced speed off the racing line until they repass you rather than stopping completely in a fast section of the circuit.
3) If there is a yellow flag warning out or you see dust rising, debris etc on the circuit it is always better to slow down a little rather than continuing flat out into the area. People are often flustered or annoyed following an off and especially on a narrow track like Mosport may rejoin the road in a way that leaves you nowhere to go.
Looks like a potentially great race was destroyed in the space of a few laps as the track claimed many victims :-(
Congrats to Peter, Arch and Skog on podiums! See you all for the final round in two weeks and also watch the forum for the discussion on next season.
Thought this would be the coming weekend so didn't notify you guys that I couldn't make it, somehow it's very not cool to race on your wedding anniversary, don't ask me why ;)
So yeah I both forgot and had other stuff to attend to.
