Practice: The server will be up all day!
Qualifying: 19:30 UK time - 15 minute session
Race (no warm up) : 36 laps (inclusive of the rolling formation lap)

*START PROCEDURE*

The race will have a rolling start. The pole position car will lead the field around the formation lap (effectively becoming the safety car) at a consistent and steady pace. Do not make sudden weaving movements or brake/accelerate hard during the lap. If you spin out on the formation lap, rejoin at the back of the field, do not try to reclaim your position.

On approach to the start finish line at the end of the lap the field should be in single file and in order of qualifying position. The lead car will maintain its speed until it crosses the start finish line at which point the race is underway. There is to be no overtaking prior to the lead car crossing the line at the end of the first lap.

Auto pit: Please turn this option off. If you need help pitting manually ask on the forum.
You must set your game difficulty to simulation to be able to join the server.

There is an alternative from the nice guys at Pilserbude (file.bier-buden.de) that we can use

Ah man, might struggle to be able to race regularly again until OCTOBER, which means i'll probably miss most races now. Spa should be good to go though, and maybe Brno i can make too. Will try my best at other times... shame to miss Donington, my home track in every sense, and i usually go well there. :(

Can't get in?? Last week had to register again like the "guide" was and now every time I login to server it just kick's me out.
Can't get in lobby if using my old registration. In game name is the same but the new regitry name is fromgehenna2. Is that the reason??

Peter you need to follow these instructions to get into the lobby -

how to connect :

1. Go to your GTR2 directory.
2. Find the following file: LOCAL_IP_LOBBY.TXT
3. Open that file and replace what is in there with gtr2lobby.bier-buden.de - You may want to back up the original txt file or rename it old.
4. Start GTR2
5. Select internet then at the top click register to register a new account
6. After you registered with your new account, you should now be able to join the lobby with your new login.

... after I missed 2 or 3 round (last before this one ) I was looking forward for Donington. Any practice at all so very happy with result in Q and R. Race was a little bit boring for me , alone to drive 36 laps but I like this track so was ok~:) Well done guys on podium and I'll see you on next one:)

Was expecting more in race trim than the pace i ended up with.

Finding it hard to get any heat into the Zytek's tyres and brakes in the opening laps. Sorry if Chris had his formation lap spin because of my dragging the brakes to raise temps? At the start i lost position to Racecraft. Then i saw my car was massively slow on the straight compared to his and realised i must be carrying too much wing.

Made a mistake exiting the chicane and had a half spin, allowing Arch and Nectaria past. Took a while to work my way back to Racecraft but i think he made a mistake and we resumed battle. I was able to go faster in the corners but with no way past i dropped back a little to see if he could catch Nikolaj and Henrik. Gradually we closed in and when Racecraft made a mistake i could see the next two cars. Nikolaj ran wide soon after but Henrik was too far ahead to catch.

Overall third was a good recovery. Peter was untouchable with 0kg weight ballast and the super fast 908. Hope the Zytek can get closer in future races. Congrats to Peter on the win and Henrik on second.

Race: 5. I just ran out off rubber :) No grib the last 8-10 rounds....

But overall a very good race...

Made the mistake to go soft/soft at the start, so I had to pit and lost any chance on getting 5th or 6th. Came back on track with a 46 seconds delay on Verce which ended with 1.6 seconds when the chequered fell. Overall the Aston Martin certainly has the edge over the Zytek coming out of the corner and in a straight line.
Donnington is not a favourite for me although it is technical and the race was uneventful but still enjoyable. As usual I was faster in the race then during qualifying :)

Sorry we couln't be more competitive, but we do carry lot of weight ;)

Hard to do better with that kind of ballast. Had a few laps on a private server, without the ballast, and I think the extra weight cost me about a second a lap.

R: Disconnect.
"Fantastic" feeling, when you have spent most of you precious spare time in the previous week on preparations, and then get disconnected on the first lap of the race.

I NEVER get disconnects in races on the DGTL.dk's server, or GTR24h.dk's server, so I'm really disappointed to be honest.
I'm kind of suspecting that the "bierbude"-lobby server isn't quite as stable and/or powerfull as the "real" lobby server?
