What VIEW do you use?

Uncle Professor may introduce a new feature to wet races: Rain Mist. But all racers need to unify their VIEW DISTANCE (ingame option under VIDEO).

FAR is the best option here, but may be an FPS hit on slower systems. So a poll may show what we're all using, or prepared to use for this feature.

Just a thought... how much system RAM you have, and how much video ram? compare those to these settings in the GTR2 CONFIG.INI? (some people seem to have negative figures for these on some systems)

I think the ram is what kills me. I should buy something better .

Must say i was amazed to see the high res wheels, cockpit and skins options selected.

Have you tried without having these enabled and compare frame rates?

I know the high res stuff is great, but if it kills the frame rate, i would think having better frame rate would outweigh the bling.....

When i upgraded from my X1950 pro XP2600+ to my E8400 4870, i couldn't believe the difference fram rate made to my lap times.:-D

cause it says you only need 128 mb to enable . Trying with those options off now . It does seem smoother.

I'm wondering if the RUNBENCHMARKS option in the CONFIG.INI helps framerates if set to 1 ?
