I'm curious how people feel about the tracks.

Favourite Track(s) & Biggest Surprise Track?

For me:

Favourite is Donnington GP, with Spa running it a close second

Biggest surprise is probably Zolder (it looks rubbish on the map) - great fun. Also, Mondello International - a tough track to drive, but a great layout packed into a tiny space - I really enjoy this little chap

Nordschleife - without any doubt! It's some kind of hate-love, but never can't let my hands off. But if asking about the default tracks coming with the game, would say Spa. I prefer tracks that have more similarity to public roads than those synthetic modern racetracks with their partly weird turn-combinations. On those modern raceways I often miss a real "flow" and some chicanes (often built in belated and not present in the origin) really don't match to the rest of the circuit - in other word they suck and disturb the rythm. Tracks like the Ring, Spa (exept the new busstop-chicane perhaps) and Zolder have that natural flow I miss in many of the constructed circuits.

It's happened, I knew it would. Some dammed fool releases the Nordschleife and my career is ruined! :D I have done nothing but race and lap on this track ever since. These cars seem so perfectly suited to the place, even more so than GPL.

I'm with you, mate - completely "Ring-addicted". This is the best driving-experience I ever had in any racesim. It was great in GPL, but even better in GTL. The cockpitlook in GTL is almost the same as in reallive videos from the inside of a car. It's marvellous!

Well I am another one from the Ring addicted club. What a superb combo GTL and the Ring. Flying around in a Capri is just fantastic there. Sadly I still lack the trackknowledge to really go into good times - still only on 8:30 something. I have to check the training video the Readline guys posted today - need to find the right lines trough some sections.

And as you guys are lowing it so much - when can we have a TT ring session online?

Don't worry P_G 08:30's will do :D

Best I have done in the GT40 is 08:56 (messy but fun - ermmm like lots of things come to think of it! :o ). I just don't seem to be able to go faster, I have cleaner laps around 08:58 - easy felt like a cruise.

How about a race in something that is easy to drive (like the Alp' ;))

I have found the cause of my internet connection problem, am waiting for the ADSL supplier to correct it now (loony! BT changed the line from an ADSL one for some reason unknown, our ADSL provider deleted our account because it was dormant for more than 4 weeks (still taking our direct debit 'though :p ) and because we didn't report the problem for more than 4 weeks they couldn't trace our account name even although they knew who was paying : - so, ball is in their court to re-establish connection)

Sorry, can't participate in online-events, even I'd whish. I still have big problems to get my GamePC working with my WLAN. This damned thing refuses to recognize my Bluetooth adapter. Seems to be a bug of the mainboard. Reading in several forums I am not the only one having that trouble with USB and a Asus A8V Deluxe board.
But don't let us hijack this thread OT.

Cheers,
Ralph

My favorite is Nurburgring, both the short and long configurations. I like all the twisty turns.:)

Nurb Nordscliefe is only fun when im chasing someone or being chased, bit lonely otherwise:(

Managed a 8'30.x in the Pantera, need to go back to it, and learn a few more sections though.

My favourite track would be Donnignton GP and i also like Hockenheim and Monza.

I pretty much like every full track in this game :roflmao: so fun to drive with the Pantera. I get a thrill everytime

My favourite track is spa. There is not too long straight and there is very hard corners, there small cars even have changes. (start at 11th and finish 2nd with Austin Haley 3000, best lap 3.06).:)
