Hello,
Just wanted to drop a post, and say thanks for the useful car setups I downloaded from this site.
I fly in a WWII flight sim virtual squadron. About a dozen of us have now got this game, and find it to be loads of fun. I was wondering what server you guys race on the most, and if you'd all be interested in getting together sometime and racing with a group of race sim "noobs". Our squad is all about having fun, and eliminating the worthless quarrels that might occur online.: Keep in mind that we're all new to this and you'd most likely be seeing us in your rearview.:
Anyways, thanks again for the race setups. I'll be checking in

Mookey, I'm an experienced flightsimmer too, making the transition. The lap times accomplished by the seasoned sim racers here and elsewhere seem almost superhuman to me and I know I'll have to put in hours of practice before I can expect to compete at their level. Because mature conduct is so important in racing sims -- after forty five minutes of practice and qualifying, nobody wants to be wrecked on the first turn by a doofus who cannot drive his Pantera -- it seems particularly important to race online with guys who can keep things positive, so... If you get any kind of GTL noob server going with your squadmates (and especially if you are in the left half of America) may I join?

Well the driving league is in the works. The flight squad is established, and always recruiting. Our squad is an international one, but was started in the U.S.
We fly IL2/FB/PF through Hyper lobby.
We are working out the details for the driving league still. Like I said :) we are new to GTL. (All but one) As far as Mature conduct goes, this squad is full of good men. I've only been with them a couple months, but they are stand up guys who love a good time, and take GTL seriously. (No intentional wreckers)
Don't know how the folks at no-grip feel about me posting a link to our squad website here. (Would that be acceptable?)
What Flight sim do you all play?

Maybe I can learn something from you guys :)
Im an occasional Il-2 pilot, and by occasional I mean really occasional.
I'm more of a LOMAC guy but I just like anything that flies or drives :)
Nice to see you guys join the racing ranks. Youll learn quick, just think of the cars as flying inverted and using your rudder for steering hehe ;)
hi Mookey, its nice to see some new blood posting ... and of course, you're welcome to post a link to your site :)
as you prolly noticed we have our own league going for GTL, which runs on sunday evenings, and one of our members hosts our races on a private server, although I've considered getting a dedicated server specifically for it but the cost is putting me off ATM
now you gave me realise we havn't got a proper section in the downloads area for setups, so I'll be adding that once I finished this server move, and will post a few setups.. I'm no alien but I think they are quite decent and nice to drive :P

Thanks Dan,
Our Flight sim squad site is http://www.casualpilots.com/we fly IL-2 Sturmovik merged with forgotten battles ace expansion and Pacific fighters. We use Hyper lobby to join/host games. There are usually between 300, and 1000 pilots online at any given time. It can be downloaded here http://hyperfighter.sk/ If you have any questions just drop me a line and I'll help you out any way I can. If you get on Hyper lobby, just look for anyone with a CPS tag on their name. Mine's CPS_Mookey. The squad has comms, and I have my own comms as well, both use Ventrilo. http://www.ventrilo.com/ I think a couple of my squad mates may fly Lomac as well.:
As far as getting a GTL league started I suppose all we need is a little time to make some decisions and get organized. The league may be a sperate entity from the CPS flight Squad. We've got around a dozen drivers, and hopefully will get a couple more. We all need some time to practice. Myself more than others.: For starters we have just been racing the lower class cars on a couple of tracks until we are ready to advance.
Any advice, programs, or rules you'd advise adopting to our new league? Any help or suggestions would be welcome.
Dan I look forward to trying out your setups. :)
