OK, now how do I start this one?
Well first of all: we have a GTLegends add-on server. It is not used as much as could be, but still there's a group of around 15-20 that use it every friday night. We have picked around 40 tracks, based on 'best of the bunch' and voting.
Now some of you may be in leagues already - no doubt you'll have noticed the fun of clean & close racing. But it is only 'for the few', that is the faster racers. I am sure there's plenty of clean racers that would like to be in a league, but have no joy in being dead last all the time.
Now, I propose, add-on style racing:
- 3 tracks (or more, some are very short!) each night, 15 min qualy-7laps;
- all GTC-65 cars (minus GT40) and TC-65 cars plus add-on cars;
- car-choice free, but one car per season, and 'promoted downward' if necessary.
What I mean with 'promoted downward' is that the fast guys should be so elegant not to choose the Corvette - because that would destroy the whole goal of 'close racing'. In an ideal situation, we'd see 20 cars on the grid, ranging from Abarth to Cobra, qualy-times all within a second from eachother (we have so far accomplished that with 6 cars...)
So - we'll need a bit of info from you. What DAY & TIME, what car you'd like to drive, what would you think about the events? What about scoring points, what period for a 'season' (maybe it should last a year?) and what happens if people apparently choose a 'too fast car'.
Anyway, here's the first poll.
