Formula One Championship Edition for PlayStation 3

Sooo, I have been wanting to buy this game for over a year, and honestly, being an F1 fan since the mid 80's....I had to have it. And overall, even considering this was a launch title for the PS3, I am very happy with it.

I got it over the weekend, still getting to grips with the game, and first impressions are that easy seems too easy and medium seems a little too hard:-(.

I want to ask anyone that has this game a question about the 'unlockable' cars?

I understand after doing some researching, that the Williams FW18 can only be unlocked by getting Silver's in time trials at each circuit.

Soo, does anyone have a PS3 gamesave they would be willing to share with me with the FW18 Williams Unlocked soo I can take that car for a spin, the classic F1 cars in the game is one of the reasons I wanted this title soo bad :laugh:

Honda ra272? I have the PS3 F1 CE game? I was not aware the PS3 version had the Honda ra272...

That reminds me.. Paul, I think I thanked you in the Ferrari Challenge review I made in ASS magazine last month... this savegame was pretty useful. :thumbup:

:blushing: OK, if anyone actually still plays this game, or cares, unlocking the FW18 is not as hard as I initially thought, silvers are rather attainable, the golds, well thats a different story :-P

are they still selling that for $60(USD)? or has the price dropped since its been out for a looong time?

edit: on the demo of the game, i didn't support the G25 pedal, in other words, they didn't work, i'm assuming they've corrected that no?

Yes, the price has dropped. The game can be found at ebgames or gamestop for approx $25 USD used. The G25 is supported for this game, however a patch needs to be applied for FFB to work.

IMO the G25 support is among the best for PS3 games, the only feature missing is H-style shifting. (But it's a F1 car, so who wants that?) :thumbup:
