Ok so what are you fellas lapping at Monza?
I guess I need to aim for a 1:56 or something like that?
SFDMALEX
9 March 06, 00:56
Looks like those 1:56s at GTLRank are a fck up.
I lapped 2:01.3 and I see 2:00 flat easy, but I have to say that 2:01 was driven very well, just not agressive enough.
Looks like 59 is going to be the lap to aim for......but with Pero you know hehe damn guy is going to hit 55s on sunday hehe

I personally have hit a 2'01.3 saved. However a 2'00 for me is indeed possible, but i highly doubt i can hit a 1'59....

Sure you can mate, just more practice practice practice.
I can see a 1:59, I only practiced for an hour today, and have done about 6 hotlaps since the rest was setup and hitting the wall work, so few more clean runs, bit earlier on the throttle, later on the brake and its there.
Anyway I never liked Monza, one track I can never find the edge on.

Just to get things into perspective, my overall pb, with the Pantera, is a 2:06.1, with the 906 2:07.4, same with the RSR.
Hope to see you Sunday!
phew going of the times above maybe is good i won't be in race on sunday :D
i was practicing round monza when why pedals broke best i got was {hang on checking lap times in profile} k it was 2:07.1
but then again maybe me and Markus could have had a good race ...........on that note i'll still try and get things fixed hopeing to get out tomorrow for the bits :D
Dunno - I'll just go and get a calender :p
Oh dear! 2:02 pb so far, and i thought that was nifty... hahaha looks like i'm going to have to tune that setup slightly - bit lairy and makes you think you're flying when obviously not. Ach!

10 March 06, 01:28
blah got a 2:00.9, and my shifter poped out of gear on a straight away, so I lost about .2 of a sec there :(
Hard work this, so tough on the brakes..........
Looks like a 59 is still a while away.........
Maybe if I went sequential and saved some time on gear changes.....but thats against my rules.

What car are you driving?
I set my times in the Pantera

Just did around 4 timed laps (forgot the exact number) and did a 2:00.8something.
Some time to spare still - deffinitly have to check the chicane lines that are possible and we could be on the way towards a very high 1:59
Car was Pantera gearing was middle, which could be not perfect.
Gotta check a few other cars as well.

11 March 06, 01:45
Just had a practice session with Dan, got a 2:00:9 :(
I guess I could knock off .5 of a sec with a slightly better drive with less fuel.
Still have one more diff setting to try...
But yes like you say Pero, looks like we could hit a very high 59.

Oh man! I don't manage something lower than a 2.08 with the CSL!: I better open my own league of slowboys!:p

11 March 06, 11:41
don't worry Ralph_B once i get my pedals fixed OR buy a new setup {which is looking the better option at the moment } we can have a good race at the back all of our own :D :D
Just had a short practise and managed 2:03.9 in the Capri and 2:01.7 in the Pantera. This was the first time I've driven the Pantera properly and my first visit to Monza since I did the Cup Challenges a few months ago, so more practise definitely needed....
No luck - the calender got bored and stopped timing me.........

11 March 06, 21:05
Did a more concentrated test session now. I will let the attachement speak for itself.
Maybe 0.5 sec improvement is possible still - some splits were showing so.
I might not take the Pantera tommorow - depends on the times you lot will be doing.
BTW: I added my setup - hope you guys find it usefull :) :p

11 March 06, 21:24
Good job Pero.......looks like I have to hit the track again :(

You are insane, mates! Could shave off about two seconds with my BMW from my previos time, but still makes me think, a 2.06 is far off pace!
SFDMALEX
12 March 06, 03:47
blah 2:00:3 :(
I think Ill hit a high 59 tomorrow, but doubt Ill get any mids

Ralph - I would suggest you switch your car to a Capri or a Pantera.
Ralph_B
12 March 06, 11:05
Maybe the Capri or the Pantera are the faster ones - but first of all I feel most familiar with the CSL and have a enjoyable setup for it - better to be on the save side for now. Second as I am a rookie in online-racing, I only want to collect some experience and don't intend to measure myself with the fastest guys right from beginning. For now I'll be confident not to crash into anyone and to finish the race without incidents. Last not least I see it as fun and don't take winning to serious. If everyone chooses the fastest cars, the grid will be a bit boring. Choosing another car makes the field more interesting. Haven't a problem to play the role as a statist in my first races. And even I am not the fastest, I can drive constant laps without being off track very often - and even with my limited experience online I have noticed, that this often will be enough to end up in a good position. But this perhaps will be not valid here - I don't see anyone who can't stay on the road.
See you on track later. Have a good race and much luck, mates!
Cheers,
Ralph
I have been lapping the Pantera around the 2:03 mark - Ralph, just hang in there, I'm a regular spinner in this :p

So your in James ? :)
Lovely, I was asking Dan last night if he knew if you were coming.
What will the password be today?

It might happen that in the middle of the race I will loose all electricity for a few sec and have a computer reboot.
That has been happening all trough the day today - we have extremly high winds here and as it seem power cables are smashing together. Hope the winds turn down a bit not that it is getting dark.
James - why not trying something faster. You are the fastest here and I wont feel right if I win without you having a proper car.
Still have to check the Capri - if I get into the high 2:00 I will take it.

Alex: I dont know password, Dan usually tells it to me,but he isnt on IRC atm.
Pero: I choose Escort, because i dont really like 76GTC cars. Anyway I will be pretty down, I get that car extremely snappy on oversteering,so i will spin million times. :D
I was wondering BMW too,but i wont take it,because i would need to buy it on offline career and dont wanna do that before i drive those endurance races. :)
(I always practice on offline career)

James make it "noreargrip", since I dunno if Dan is going to show up. I know he stayed through the night to watch the F1, so he is probably asleep so who knows if he wakes up.

Will do something different - I will take the Vette. I always love to drive it - it is so bad on handling, that it becomes great fun. And that engine is just brilliant.
