hey guys,
I would like to create an own mod of the formula one in 1961 as a Tribute to "Wofgang Graf Berghe von Trips (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolfgang_Graf_Berghe_von_Trips)" who died 1961 in Monza.
I live near his museum in Kerpen Horrem, so I can get many Information about the cars and take photos of them.
But the Problem is, that I never created an own 3D model.
I think it's very difficulct and I don't know how I can start with it (schould I just draw an triangle somewhere??).
I would also like to know which programs I need to create the model.
Schould I use 3DSIMED or the demo version of 3DS Max.

May someone of you can say me how to do or give me an basic model I only have to modify.

Sorry for my english, but I'm just a german student.

Yours, Majoteam

Edit: I would like to create this mod for GTR evo/Race07

Modeling isn't that difficult if you have some semblance of artistic ability. I'd highly recommend downloading Blender (www.blender3d.org) and learning that. It used to be pretty bad, but as of late they've tightened everything up and it's quite useable now. There are a LOT of tutorials out there that will help you get started, and it has a very active user community to help you out.

As far as getting the car out of there and into the game, 3dSimEd is where to start, but I know nothing about the process. :|

Hello everyone!
...about the blender3D...
...Can someone give some comparisons to other 3d Software... Is it worth spending time to master it, or 3DS MAX would be the better choice
