Perhaps you can specify more clearly, when GTL does crash. Just after loading the game or when entering a track, or is it randomly while driving? There are several reasons for a crash.
For future I also recomend to do updates or installing addons step by step and make proof, that the installed files really work. So you can see, if a specific addon is messy. So you can remove it without deleting all other stuff, that works without problems. I allways do it that way and never install a dozend of addons or even more in one rush. So I never had a completely messed up install without knowing exactly, what addon has some faults.

Possibly we are on the same subject here , i too have installed quite a few of these additional tracks into the locations folder and have noticed that now i am getting far more slowdown and momentery screen freezes on most tracks , i had some small problems with this before but they only had a small impact and were only on certain tracks such as mondello , there must be a limit to how much additional code [tracks/cars] that can be put into the game , any body any ideas ?

some of those addon tracks are very heavy on the system compared to the original tracks, I've noticed one or 2 of them give about half the fps I get on original tracks ;)

I dont believe it makes any difference how many addon tracks you install though, as the game only loads the current track you are playing at the time

Of course it does Dan your right , well i can turn my attention to my computer then as last night a couple of times the framerate dropped down so bad it lost me two races .

That's one of those threads I really love! Someone asks for help, people are willing to do so and try to offer solutions - but the initial author of the thread never shows up again. Hopefully someone else has some benefit - otherwise what a waste of time!

in my case my game crashes just prior to the completion of loading and crashes back to desktop. The problem is only corrected when i remove all downloaded cars. Also i cannot engage in any singleplay races in the downloaded tracks they crash also. I can only practice in them alone no AIs allowed. Any solutions to either appreciated

See the sticky on installing add on cars:

It's usually a .rcd file in a car folder.

Patience Ralph, not everyone comes here on a daily basis. :D

Edit:
Just noticed the date of the first post. I must say it bugs me when people put up the same post on a number of Forums on the same day, and you see it again after you've replied on a different forum.
