Yeah, you need 3D analyzer. http://www.experts-exchange.com/Miscellaneous/Games/Emulators/Q_21258698.html

3D Analyzer allows an older card with non-compatible shaders to run newer games. I've used it in the past with weird results. You may find colors are off or artifacts are apparent. It'll get the game to work, but not well.

ITD- you will be playing RD all the time (as will I). Just upgrade. It's time.

I just found this too- NVEmulate. You have an ATI card, so this is for the benefit of those with older Nvidia hardware (lot's of 440 MX's are still out there)

http://www.dna-drivers.com/forums.php?m=posts&q=523 I've read that these drivers may work for ATI cards. Read all about it at the site.

Does it mean they can "cheat with shaders"?: I d/l'ed them and I can't find such option, drivers itself are cool so I use them but I can't find anything about px/vx emulation. I couldn't find anything such at the site you gave link into. BTW, I managed to get somewhere with 3d analyzer but that's not enough - have a read (http://forum.rscnet.org/showthread.php?p=3077351#post3077351)

ITD- I think you have to buy new hardware- I'm sorry to say it. When I used 3dAnalyzer it was several years ago. The problem also is that even if you do find a way aroud this issue with shader verification your game will not look right (advanced shaders do have a purpose) and will run VERY SLOW.

It's cool to do as a mental excercise, but in the end fruitless. You will not be able to play your game at acceptible frame rates if you emulate the appropriate shader program.

Sorry man, I wish I had a better answer. Time to start a savings jar and set aside your pocket change every day.
