I'm wondering why most cars will not lock up the wheels no matter how much the pedal is pushed? I am not using any "helpers" other than the auto clutch.

Also when in the force feedback set up screen I can quickly step on the gas or brake pedal and release it before the display can register any motion. Is this normal?

Thanks

What wheel are you using? Drivers up to date etc etc (all the usual stuff)?

The latency may be what's causing the lack of lock-ups. Your turning the corner before the brake pedal has fully registered as down. Next thought is to find out what's causing the latency, any other devices fighting for bandwidth (perhaps through a USB hub or similar)?

The wheel is a Logitech Momo with the latest drivers, ver 4.60.349. The wheel is on its own USB channel.

this sounds very weird.

I dont know what could be the problem. Do you have a wingman profile for GTL?

Here is the full sized version of the image. (http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=main/8/21601114848.jpg&s=f10)

In the Wingman Profiler I have noticed you need to set the Centering Spring Effect to 0%, if you don't want it, even if the "Use Special Force Feedback Device Settings" is unchecked.

I've just noticed another bug. When driving the Benz 300SL and you bump another 300SL the car reacts violently. In one race I lightly sideswiped another 300SL and shot straight up into the air and lost all forward momentum at the same time. :(

Anyway what car in your game can you say when traveling 60mph in a straight line step on the brakes and lock up the wheels? I'll try the same car and see what happens.

Cortina and Alpine lock it up so easily its not funny. set the braking power to 100% and about 70 front bias you will lock at just about any speed.

I just finished trying out the wheel on a different motherboard USB header. And, it is a completely different game. On the FF setup page there is no visible delay, yea :) So thank you for the suggestion, I don't think I would have tried a different USB header without it.

I also set up the cortina as stated above and the front wheels do lock up very easily. I guess in general the game has under powered brakes or something.
